Expert Analysis

Toure was another big winner over the weekend, picking up an offer from Missouri after an impressive showing in Dallas. His athleticism, combined with his size and shot-making ability, separates him from many other guards both regionally and nationally. His shooting from the mid-range and behind the arc continues to be a major difference-maker. He consistently knocks down shots while putting pressure on primary defenders, which in turn opens up driving lanes and creates additional opportunities offensively. Once he gets around the rim, he finishes with authority — whether it’s throwing it down or exploding through contact, especially when playing off two feet. Beyond the scoring, his impact defensively and on the glass only adds to his value. With the tools he brings on both ends of the floor, it’s easy to see why he’s become such a coveted next-level recruit, and he looks poised to continue building momentum throughout the summer.

Toure has been on a tear lately, stuffing the stat sheet and making a major impact on both ends of the floor. He covers a ton of ground in transition and plays with a motor and activity level that’s tough to match. Gassim always seems to find himself around the basketball, constantly creating scoring opportunities for both himself and his teammates. With his shooting really taking off this spring, you’re starting to see the full picture of a complete, well-rounded guard who is playing with a lot of confidence. He’ll be playing this weekend at the P32 Live Period in Dallas, and I fully expect a lot of college programs to come away impressed with what they see. He could very easily leave the weekend with several more Division I offers to add to the growing list he already holds.
