Edwardsville Live Showcase - Friday's Standouts (Part 3)

Braden Alford is a young, promising guard who showed some confidence against a tough Principia team. He started with a solid block and grabbed a couple of boards. Alford is still developing and has plenty of room to grow. I am looking forward to watching his growth. Jaylen Mitchell has size, strength, and motor, and plays above the rim. Mitchell moved up and down the court quickly, making end-to-end plays and dunking the ball while also showing off his smooth midrange jumper. He battled for rebounds and consistently fought for space in the paint. Overall, Mitchell is a good-sized, aggressive, versatile forward who shows potential as a consistent three-level scorer. [player_tooltip player_id='2334910' first='Sekou' last='Cisse'] is a tall, strong forward who dominated down low. He controlled the glass and used his size and frame to create space. Offensively, he scored with tip-ins, second-chance rebounds, and low-post passes. Cisse also showed speed for his size, dribbling end to end quickly. Overall, Cisse is a dominant force down low, especially on defense. Whether it's blocking shots, cleaning up the glass, finishing passes, or standing up plays, Cisse's size, strength, and good decision-making have given him and his team an advantage. [player_tooltip player_id='2377735' first='Kingston' last='Money'] proved to be a quick, athletic, and efficient ball handler. He's just one of Principia's dynamic playmakers who can push the pace. He excelled at making slashing drives and assisting his teammates. He sees the court well and gets passes off quickly to drive scoring plays. Money added scoring depth, primarily from the midrange and under the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='2334898' first='Jimmy' last='McKinney Jr.'] made some nice slashing plays and showed off his three-point shot. He's also a solid ball-handler who can drive the offense and make plays happen. He pushed the pace throughout the game, putting the defense on their heels. McKinney wreaked havoc in the backcourt, disrupting plays by knocking down passes and crashing the boards. Overall, McKinney is a guard who can disrupt a team's plan. Gassim Tour didn't take his foot off the gas the entire game. He pushed the pace, taking the ball end-to-end, driving down the lane, or running offensive plays. Gassim erupted into a three-point frenzy in the second half, helping his team come back within reach of the game. Overall, Tour is a well-built, athletic guard who uses his explosiveness to disrupt plays in the backcourt and take the ball end-to-end for scoring plays. Gassim proved he can also score from all three levels of the court.
