With the upcoming live period right around the corner, there are several regional guards worth keeping a close eye on after strong returns so far this spring. In this breakdown, I'll take a deeper look at the names currently at the top of my watch list, what stands out about their games, and where they'll be competing at this weekend.

There isn't a player in the state of Missouri right now riding more momentum than Powers. His recruitment continues to take off, and his game seems to be following right along with it. He's noticeably bigger and stronger, and now at a legitimate 6'5”, he's added a strong slashing and finishing dimension to his scoring profile. When you combine that with his high basketball IQ, feel for the game, and what looks like virtually unlimited shooting range, there's no question this weekend should be another opportunity for Powers to shine against top competition from across the country. He'll be playing at EYBL Session II in Memphis.

Money, who will be playing alongside Powers this weekend, turned heads at EYBL Session I in Atlanta. When everything is clicking, you can really see the full package Kingston brings to the floor — blending size, athleticism, toughness, and an underrated ability to score the basketball. Memphis gives him another chance to keep showcasing the growth in his offensive game and what he's capable of doing with the ball in his hands. Expect an engaged, high-motor guard who competes on both ends of the floor and brings energy every possession. With plenty of next-level coaches expected to be in attendance, this weekend will be another big opportunity for Money as he suits up at EYBL Session II in Memphis.

Batiste, another rising name, should be interesting to follow this coming weekend. Jalen looked promising in Detroit as a physical and deceptively quick perimeter player. He's initiated and finished through contact well this spring and continues to look bigger and stronger, along with a much more decisive and quicker handle that has been throwing primary defenders off balance. He definitely doesn't lack confidence and plays with a chip on his shoulder — something that gives him an edge at times. With his ability to handle the ball and knock down timely perimeter shots, he should have more than enough opportunities as he hits the floor in Tulsa at the Pro16 Live Period and NXTPro Live Period.

Toure has been on a tear lately, stuffing the stat sheet and making a major impact on both ends of the floor. He covers a ton of ground in transition and plays with a motor and activity level that's tough to match. Gassim always seems to find himself around the basketball, constantly creating scoring opportunities for both himself and his teammates. With his shooting really taking off this spring, you're starting to see the full picture of a complete, well-rounded guard who is playing with a lot of confidence. He'll be playing this weekend at the P32 Live Period in Dallas, and I fully expect a lot of college programs to come away impressed with what they see. He could very easily leave the weekend with several more Division I offers to add to the growing list he already holds.

Foulk showed up in a big way in Memphis at P32 Session II. Extremely skilled and poised, Will has a way of taking control of games and not letting go. He's crafty and adept at changing pace, and he excels in ball screens where he's shown the ability to manipulate defensive coverages and find openings. His touch around the rim has been his most impressive trait so far this spring, showing great feel and the ability to finish over and around interior defenders. His mid-range and perimeter shooting has also started to consistently show up, continuing to create problems for opposing defenses. Foulk will be back on the floor this weekend in Dallas for the P32 Live Period, looking to carry that momentum forward.

Walsh has flashed moments so far this spring, showing he's just as comfortable playing off the ball as he is with it in his hands. Brendan's finishing, especially off two feet, has shown a growing level of athleticism, and he's also proven he can finish with either hand and in a variety of ways to throw off shot blockers. With solid feel in transition, he keeps the pedal down and consistently puts pressure on opposing defenses. This spring, he's also excelled at creating space more efficiently, giving himself room to operate and read defenses. He should continue to round into form, especially if his perimeter shooting continues to show up both off the catch and off the bounce. Brendan will be in Tulsa for the Pro16 Live Period and NXTPro Live Period.

Fyfe really burst onto the scene in Kansas City at UAA Session I. Defensively, he's been locked in, playing with both quickness and aggression on the ball while showing a willingness to compete on both ends and defend different types of offensive players. His play with the ball in his hands has also been sound and effective throughout the spring, and he's looked more than comfortable alongside the high-level talent around him. If he can continue shooting the ball efficiently from deep and keep picking his spots in transition, I expect a big weekend from Aiden — one that should have plenty of college coaches taking notice. Fyfe will be in action at UAA Session II in Ohio, looking to build on a strong start to the spring.

You've seen different flashes from Woehrmann throughout the spring, and the ability has never been in question. A capable volume scorer with a deep offensive bag, he'd probably be the first to tell you he's still waiting for that breakout performance — and this weekend presents the perfect opportunity for it. Offensively, he can impact the game at every level, and it all starts with his ability to shoot the basketball. With deep range from the perimeter and the confidence to rise up off the bounce at any moment, he's a legitimate scoring threat at all times. But don't overlook what he can do attacking downhill either. He's more than capable of getting into the paint, putting pressure on the rim, and creating offense off the drive. Emery feels poised for a big weekend in Memphis, and I expect one of Missouri's top scorers to put together another impressive showing while continuing to build on an already strong high school résumé. Woehrmann will be playing this weekend at the EYCL Live Period in Memphis.

McNeil has been one of the more intriguing prospects this spring — and it's a rise that should continue to catch the attention of coaches moving forward. Playing on a roster with multiple unsigned seniors, he's consistently brought toughness, physicality, and a rugged presence in the backcourt while really elevating his offensive production over the last several weeks. His shooting ability, especially pulling up off the dribble, has become a real weapon. He plays at a comfortable, methodical pace and understands when to attack and how to pick his spots offensively. There's no question programs are already showing interest, but the upcoming live period presents another valuable opportunity for him to remind coaches still evaluating 2026 prospects that he deserves to be near the top of their list. McNeil will be playing this weekend at the RecruitLook Live Period event in Kansas City.

You definitely can't forget about McKinney, who's gotten off to a strong start this spring, especially because of the impact he's making defensively. Jimmy has been excellent at creating deflections and forcing turnovers, whether he's guarding the ball or jumping passing lanes. While he's still continuing to find his rhythm offensively, there have been games where you see the potential on that end. Even so, it's his overall floor game that consistently shows up. He's a plus rebounder for his position and has also shown the ability to take command as a facilitator and creator at different points throughout games. This should be a big weekend for McKinney as he looks to continue building confidence offensively while getting in front of more college coaches. He'll be playing at EYBL Session II in Memphis.

With the upcoming live period right around the corner, there are several regional guards worth keeping a close eye on after strong returns so far this spring. In this breakdown, I'll take a deeper look at the names currently at the top of my watch list, what stands out about their games, and where they'll be competing at this weekend.
