Let’s take a look at the top small forwards in this latest rankings update. This does not include any players who were in the top 10 in the class.
Fawns is a volume scorer at 6’5 and already has a solid frame that allows him to finish at a high rate. He’s averaging nearly 20 points per game but has missed some contests due to injury this season. Luke has D1 upside and will have a chance to impress coaches this spring and summer if he decides to play AAU.
Another big wing with D1 upside, Hutchinson has a good frame and is more athletic than he’s given credit for. Zach needs to straighten out his three point shooting but his mechanics are fluid. Keep an eye out for him to draw some early college interest in the near future.

As mentioned in our biggest risers piece last week, Shouse is a good bet if you’re looking for a player with long term potential. Like Hutchinson, Hayden’s three point shooting numbers need to improve but he has skills and a good frame that will add bulk when he gets active in the weight room.

Simon is one of the more under-utilized players in this position group as he’s doing his best to maximize up and down playing time and opportunity. King has shown flashes of being a very active rebounder and is a strong passer at 6’5. Thus far, he’s taking more threes than twos in his Sophomore season but I’d like to see him put the ball on the floor more and attack the paint.
Highlights
File Donovan’s name away under “high potential”. He’s got the physical tools but has had limited opportunities as a Sophomore for Covington Catholic. Bradshaw is long and athletic with quick jumps and the ability to protect the rim. This upcoming AAU season will be a big one as Donovan should have to start turning potential into production or he’ll slide down the rankings list.
