About Luke
Expert Analysis

I was impressed with Fawns perimeter shooting ability playing under the bright lights at Rupp Arena. A lot of times players will revert to standing behind the college 3-point line when they play at big gyms with no backdrop but Fawns was shooting the ball with confidence off the catch and connected on a game-high five triples. Hoping to see Fawns stay healthy this summer and get the ball rolling on his recruitment as it’s tough to find guys with his height, frame and shooting ability.

Fawns is a volume scorer at 6’5 and already has a solid frame that allows him to finish at a high rate. He’s averaging nearly 20 points per game but has missed some contests due to injury this season. Luke has D1 upside and will have a chance to impress coaches this spring and summer if he decides to play AAU.

Luke moves back up the rankings after a small slide last round. Moving from 21st to 12th overall, Fawns has had one of the most impressive individual performances I’ve seen all year when he had 25 first half points against Woodford County.

Saturday was the first time I’d seen Fawns in a long while and it didn’t look like the same kid I saw a couple of years ago. He’s bulked up big time and has a college ready body already. Luke finished with 38 points on Saturday against Woodford (25 in the first half) and was keeping Montgomery in the game for as long as he could.

Luke has been hovering in the top 5-10 of this class for years but will need to raise his game to another level to stay in that group. Fawns is a big wing who can play above the rim but can also settle for threes too often on offense. After averaging 12 points and 7 rebounds this season, Luke will be learning a new system with a new coach as a Sophomore. With the physical tools that Fawns has, he should be a difference maker in the 10th region and get on college radars soon.

Luke is a long and athletic wing who has been averaging a double-double so far this season. Fawns has been a varsity contributor for a while now and is on track to score a few thousand points in his high school career. Long term, the 6’5 wing projects to be one of the best players in the 10th region for the next few seasons and has D1 upside.

Fawns is one of the better scorers in the class already and has shown that he can get a lot of buckets at the varsity level over the last two seasons. Luke is a good athlete and has shown himself to be a more than capable shooter with long range on his jumper. Don’t be surprised if he’s averaging 18-20 points per game this season.
