After four games at the Homestead Holiday Tournament on Wednesday we are right back in the gym on Thursday with four games from Fishers High School. We will get a chance to see eight talented teams from all over the state as our extensive holiday tournament coverage continues. Recently, our Prep Hoops Indiana Live Blogs have been a massive hit. However, admittedly, they aren't the easiest to keep up with throughout the day. Today we are going to mix things up and try a little bit of a different format. Instead of live updates throughout the game we will simply write quick recaps after the fact. Then, we will dive more in-depth into individual player evaluations as well as highlighting top individual performers throughout the event. As always, we will be live tweeting all of the games at @BRamseyKSR so follow along there for more live coverage. Let's dive on in to another great day of Indiana High School Basketball!

10:30 a.m. – Chesterton 57 Lawrence Central 54

That was one of the crazier games of the 2023-2024 high school basketball season. Both teams had stretches were they turned the ball over on seemingly every possession and struggled to make free throws. Chesterton turned the Bears over a bunch in the first half to build a 31-24 lead going into the locker. However, the tides turned in the second half and Lawrence Central came roaring back to take a 45-44 advantage at the end of the third quarter. Their full court pressure and trapping in the half court sped Chesterton up and forced a ton of turnovers.

Down the stretch though the Trojans came up with one or two extra possessions when they needed it most. [player_tooltip player_id='1158231' first='Justin' last='Sims'] scored, off of a turnover, to tie the game at 54-54 with about 30 seconds to play and then [player_tooltip player_id='1275807' first='Tyler' last='Parrish'] sealed it with a pair of free throws at the end. The Trojans ultimately came away with a 57-54 victory in the first game of Thursday's Fishers Holiday Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1275807' first='Tyler' last='Parrish'] finished with 21 points to lead all scorers with [player_tooltip player_id='1158231' first='Justin' last='Sims'] added 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots. Coaches from Bethel, Danville, Dominican, Grace, Marian, IU-East, IUPUI, and Saint Mary of the Woods were in attendance to watch those two among others. [player_tooltip player_id='2282407' first='Greg' last='Martin'] scored 14 points to lead Lawrence Central in the loss.

12:15 p.m. – South Bend Riley 60 Jeffersonville 58

We've been treated to two excellent games here at the Fishers Holiday Classic. This one was bound to go down to the wire from the moment it tipped off. South Bend Riley typically held onto a small advantage, leading after the first and second quarters, but Jeffersonville tied up going into the fourth. [player_tooltip player_id='1373104' first='P.J.' last='Douglas'] was a big part of the Red Devils offense in the third period and then 6'8" forward [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] took over down the stretch. The big man actually put Jeffersonville ahead with a strong bucket on the block with under five seconds remaining in the game. However, that late 58-57 lead would not last. Without a timeout, the Wildcats quickly inbounded the ball to [player_tooltip player_id='1547394' first='Payton' last='Baird'] who took a coupe of dribbles up the left sideline and launched one from 50+ feet. Money.

The Bethel commit's heroic shot gave him 18 points to go along with 9 rebounds in the game. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297088' first='Marvin' last='Schindler'] added 21 points for South Bend Riley. In the loss for Jeffersonville, [player_tooltip player_id='1388408' first='Tre' last='Singleton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1297093' first='Michael' last='Cooper'] each finished with 17 points while [player_tooltip player_id='1373104' first='P.J.' last='Douglas'] added 16 points for the Red Devils.

2:00 p.m. – Portage 69 Evansville Bosse 66

The only way to top one wild buzzer beater is with another one. That is what we got in games two and three here at the Fishers Holiday Classic. In yet another tightly contested matchup the Portage Indians and Evansville Bosse Bulldogs traded leads throughout the contest before [player_tooltip player_id='1578442' first='Michael' last='Wellman'] drilled a three on the right wing as time expired to win it for the Indians 69-66. The talented 6'5" junior wing finished 24 points to lead all scorers. [player_tooltip player_id='1275800' first='Jaelyn' last='Johnson'] added 11 points for Portage while [player_tooltip player_id='1297027' first='Garrett' last='Clark'] chipped in 10 points. In the loss for Bosse, [player_tooltip player_id='2053669' first='Tizaun' last='Tomlinson'] led the way with 19 points while [player_tooltip player_id='1158192' first='Taray' last='Howell'] added 17 points and [player_tooltip player_id='2089944' first='Chris' last='Glover'] finished with 16 points.

3:45 p.m. – Fishers 94 vs. Bloomington North 48

For as good as the first three games of the day were here at the Fishers Holiday Classic this one was obviously a blowout. The running clock went into effect with 2:30 to play in the third quarter as Fishers moved to 9-0 on the season with a dominant 94-48 victory. [player_tooltip player_id='2079500' first='Keenan' last='Garner'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1578426' first='Justin' last='Kirby'] finished with 17 points to lead the Tigers while freshmen [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2267046' first='Jason' last='Gardner Jr.'] each added 12 points. 6'5" junior [player_tooltip player_id='1749527' first='Luke' last='Lindeman'] scored 31 points to lead all scorers in the loss for Bloomington North.
