Johnson has been one of the better in-state risers over the last couple seasons and you can officially say he is one of the more high-upside bigs in the 2024 class. Johnson is a 6’5 power forward and is one of the more physically bigger prospects in any game that Portage has played this season. He is one of the more versatile bigs and when locked in, he has proved that he could be really dominant. He is averaging 11.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game this year. You can watch him finish out the regular season when Portage travels to Hebron on 2/20 and host Hammond Morton on 2/23.

At the Fishers Classic, Johnson was one of the more physically bigger prospects in the gym at all times. When locked in, he proved that he could be really dominant however the problem that I saw was a consistency with his motor at times. He is one of the more versatile bigs we have in the state and proved to be a stock-riser in the 2024 class over the summer. If he can play with a strong motor throughout a game, he can be a game changer.

Johnson is one of the more intriguing players that will be at this event. At 6’6, he is capable of shooting out to mid-range and very mobile around the basket for his size. He is good on the roll or when rim-running in transition. As of this writing, Johnson is averaging around 11.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. This stock-rising big could make a lot of noise at Fishers.

After earning Indiana Junior All-Star honors last season at a Portage, this 6’6″ parlayed his success into a strong spring and summer with 94 Feet Elite. Johnson has a skilled inside-outside game with the ability to stretch the floor out to 18 feet or so while possessing the size and footwork to finish around the basket consistently. He is good on the roll or when rim-running in transition. The forward saw his ranking jump over 50 spots from #104 to #52 in the recently updated Class of 2024 prospect rankings.
