Wellman’s combination of size and skill has been what college programs have loved for a while now. He is highly sought after at the Division II and NAIA levels holding offers currently from Bethel, Grace, Huntington, and Malone. On Friday during Session I of the IBCA Top 100 Showcase, Wellman shot the ball really well from three-point range. He has a quick, compact release and all-around smooth stroke. Wellman also rebounds well and is a very good passer making him a uniquely skilled 3/4 man when projecting to the next level.
