Mickell Taylor Jr Mickell Taylor Jr 6'0" | PG Teaneck | 2026 State NJ , 5’10 PG Teaneck
Taylor Jr moved up higher than any other player in the update as he went up 12 spots. The 5’10 guard has a smooth shooting stroke and can knock down triples in bunches. Taylor Jr is more than just a shooter as he also has a tight handle and can get to the rim off the bounce. He has a nice touch on his floater and is an underrated passer. Taylor Jr will have the ball in his hands more this season and should put up big numbers this season.
Will Spross Will Spross 6'2" | PG St. Joseph Academy | 2026 State NJ , 6’2 PG St. Joseph’s Hammonton
Spross had a strong summer and is looking to carry it over into the winter. The 6’2 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finish around the basket. Spross also has the ability to play off the ball as he moves well within the flow of the offense and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. The ball rarely sticks in his hands and is an underrated defender. Spross will be a guard prospect to watch in South Jersey with his ability to score in the paint and knock down jumpers from distance.
Tyler Hammond Tyler Hammond 6'0" | CG Trenton Catholic Academy | 2026 State NJ , 5’10 CG Trenton Catholic
Hammond made plays over the course of the summer and will look to do it for the Iron Mikes this winter. The 5’10 guard has a quick release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Hammond also has a good handle, which he uses to get to the rim and finish through contact. He has the ability to run the offense at times and can get deflections on the defensive end. Hammond is a scoring guard prospect who should put up big numbers for Trenton Catholic this season.
Albion Ahmetaj Albion Ahmetaj 6'4" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2026 State NJ , 6’4 SF St. Thomas Aquinas
Ahmetaj is one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2026 class with his combination of length and skill. The 6’4 wing has a nice handle, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and finish around the basket. Ahmetaj rises up nicely on his jumper and can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrate rebounder. Ahmetaj is primed for a big 2023-24 season with his ability to score inside and out.
AJ Williams AJ Williams 6'7" | SF Bergen Catholic | 2026 State NJ , 6’7 SF Bergen Catholic
Williams made noise for himself this summer, which should lead him to have a big 2023-24 season. The lanky 6’7 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong above the rim and can make shots through contact. Williams has a good release on his jumper and elevates over smaller defenders with confidence. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and has a solid handle. Williams picked up an offer from Creighton a couple of weeks ago and more offers should pour in with his combination of size, skill and length.
