Ahmetaj is a hybrid defender at the small forward spot that can defend every position at an elite level. At 6’4″ he can go from guarding the other team’s best perimeter player to guarding their best inside player. He has great timing on his jumps on when to block shots in the paint. Ahmetaj is a player that will do anything to help his team win. On the defensive side of the ball, Ahmetaj can guard multiple positions. He has great timing and awareness in blocking shots and will challenge anyone in the paint. He will dive after every loose ball and take off in transition. He can score will some effective moves in the post and has a soft touch around the rim allowing him to score easy baskets.

Ahmetaj can play almost every position which can give him some mismatches throughout a game. His game inside the paint is smooth as he can sell pump fakes well and finish strong with either hand no matter who is in front of him. He has post moves he can go to with his back to the basket like his spin move. Ahmetaj can put the ball on the floor and take the ball inside or look to cut without the basketball to receive the lead pass for the open layup.

Ahmetaj is an excellent player that can do many things, especially blocking shots. At 6’4″ at the small forward spot, he has a bunch of flexibility on the defensive end. Ahmetaj can switch onto anyone and block their shot if they try to test him off the drive. If a player looks to shoot over him he will most likely either get a good contest or tip the ball out of the air. He is fast in transition which can lead to many blocked or contested shots on the chase-down.
