With a large group coming to town, we wanted to take an opportunity to preview the event and some top names at the showcase. Here’s a look at some of the top 2025 prospects coming tomorrow. Presented in jersey order.
Beickman is a top player in the 3rd region and has been flying under the radar as a sleeper prospect for colleges. Luke is an efficient scorer and tough guard who can play on or off the ball.
Lacon makes his living as a driver who gets to the rim and finishes well, especially through contact. Tomorrow, it will be interesting to see how well he shoots the ball after only going 2/17 from three as a Sophomore.
Recently transferring to DeSales from Paducah, Kahnplaye was one of the top scorers in the state last season and was also a top 15 rebounder in Kentucky. If Prince can score the ball at a high level and get others involved, he’ll be in the mix for camp MOP.
Highlights
Lyons seems to have been at Taylor County since the 90s but he’s still only a Junior. He’s one of the best players in the 5th region but also one of the most overlooked. I expect him to put his stamp on the showcase tomorrow with a big day.
Jerrod is another 2025 guard who can really score the ball. Roark will be interesting to see as there are so many good guards in this camp. Will he be aggressive and go at his competition? Or will he sit back and pick his spots? We’ll find out tomorrow.
A month ago, Wardlow would not have made this list but he was really good at the Next Up Recruits camp in August and I’m interested to see him again. The younger of the Wardlow brothers at Bowling Green, Jace is slowly making a name for himself.
The true X factor tomorrow, Walton hasn’t played in many camps across the state and I think he has the potential to be a head turner tomorrow. Elijah always looks intriguing on film but on Saturday, he can impress in person.
Highlights
One of the most consistent kids in the 2025 class, Blakeman has been a top scorer in Kentucky for the last few seasons. Already garnering interest from schools of different levels, Hayden has an opportunity to be the top player at camp tomorrow if he has his motor running all day.
Birney is another 2025 who is always consistent in his performance. You can count on Jace to score the ball at every level, rebound well and make good decisions with the ball. He’s not going to make a ton of mistakes and he won’t make the same one twice. Expect him to have a good day at camp Saturday.
