Session III wasn’t an easy one for Team CP3’s 15U group as they won the Platinum Championship on the EYBL stage in Dallas this past weekend against Drive Nation. Still, their 15s group has managed to produce a record of 13-1 through the first three sessions, flexing their depth led by their four future stars in Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5'10" | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC , Cole Cloer Cole Cloer 6'7" | SG Caldwell Academy | 2026 State NC , Jaire Richburg Jaire Richburg 6'4" | SF East Forsyth | 2026 State NC and Ashton Pierce Ashton Pierce 6'3" | SG North Mecklenburg | 2026 State NC .
In the finale though, it was ultimately Cloer and a strong outing from Adam Grier Adam Grier 6'4" | SF High Point Christian | 2027 State NC off the bench that powered them in the final game. They trailed 9-0 in the early going as they went scoreless for nearly the first seven minutes of the game before Cloer got them on the board with 13:13 remaining in the first half, scoring their first five points showing it was his turn to step up.
Cloer would end up leading the way with 20 points though Pierce still showed he could get to the free-throw line (6-of-6) to finish with nine points. Neal finished with nine points on 4-of-10 from the field and Richburg finished with Nine points seemed to be the magic number as that’s also what Adam Grier Adam Grier 6'4" | SF High Point Christian | 2027 State NC finished with in his best performance across all three sessions. He’s an aggressive guard that can finish around the rim and knock down shots in space, be a presence on the glass and defend both guard spots.
Pierce cooled off after going 6-of-10 from the field and 4-of-6 from 3-point range in their overtime victory over NH Lightning in the semifinals. It took overtime to defeat the NH Lightning back on April 22 as well, when Team CP3 15s won that one 75-71.
Team CP3 didn’t take a lead in the final game until 2:49 left in the first half. After that, it was still a back-and-forth affair as Drive Nation would take the lead right back and led 32-31 as the half.
Things were deadlocked at 36 as both times turned things up defensively for roughly three minutes of game action before a pair of free throws from Pierce would break the ice with 10:51 remaining in the game. They would take the lead for good with 9:13 remaining in the game as their defense seemed to wear Drive Nation down. A 7-0 run by Team CP3 pushed the lead to 52-43 with 5:16 left in the game and Team CP3 would never look back as they cruised to a 64-53 victory and a 5-0 finish in EYBL Session III on the 15U stage in Dallas. Drive Nation shot just 36 percent as a team in the second half, while Team CP3 shot 43.5 percent from the field.
Dionte Neal Dionte Neal 5’10” | PG Reidsville | 2026 State NC continues to lead the charge for Team CP3 15’s group at the point guard spot. He’s an impressive floor general that leads all of EYBL 15U with 6.2 apg to go along with 14.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg and 1.6 spg while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from 3-point range. He’s a pace-setter that knows how to keep his shooters involved in the offense and has shown he’s got a bright future ahead of him in the backcourt in the 2026 class. He put together two double-doubles in Session III with 13 points and 13 assists against Livon and 19 points and 12 assists against NH Lightning. He nearly posted a triple-double against NH Lightning as he also had seven rebounds.
