Expert Analysis
Jay Anderson | Prep Hoops Scout
Grier is a playmaking combo guard flying under the radar out of Ledford High. He’s coming off a season where he dished out 7.2 assists per game along with 14.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per contest in leading the Panthers to a 20-6 record and an appearance in the NCHSAA State Playoffs. His ability to make things happen with consistency is difficult to stop on the hardwood. He’ll be a name to watch with Team Fly on the independent grassroots scene.

Grier is set to make quite the splash at Reidsville High on the NCHSAA stage as he looks to strengthen their wing/frontcourt attack. He’s a 6-foot-4 wing/forward who’s shown he can be a menacing presence on the rebounding front as well as defensively. His addition should give the Rams an edge to repeat once again as NCHSAA 2A State Champions.

Grier is another versatile presence in the 2027 class to keep an eye as he debuts at No. 10 in the player rankings. He’s listed at 6-foot-4 but given his athleticism and strong frame, he’s shown he’s fully capable of operating inside and out. He paced their offensive attack and set the tone with his presence defensively all season long for High Point Christian Academy as a recent mover into the 2027 class. He’ll be one to watch with Team CP3 this grassroots cycle.

Grier is another name who won a Peach Jam crown, though his came with Team CP3 on the 15U stage as he moves into the 2027 class. He’s a name due to grow as an all-around guard/wing prospect given his size and athleticism at 6-foot-3. Look for him to play a big role in their success on the NCISAA stage this year.
