Page makes his debut at the top spot in the 2027 class out of Broughton High. He’ll be a prospect to keep an eye on with Garner Road on the 3SSB stage as the grassroots season gears up. He’s an active and athletic presence around the rim and does well making plays without needing the ball in his hands. He’s a prospect with a bright future ahead of him after producing 17.8 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 1.7 APG and 1.0 SPG on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 34 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s a versatile presence at 6-foot-4 who can operate in a variety of ways on the hardwood.
Gibson is another national prospect already on the PH radar who makes his debut in the 2027 class as the No. 2 prospect. He’ll be a prospect to get eyes on with Team Loaded on the 3SSB stage this grassroots cycle after he won a Jr. EYBL Peach Jam title with Team United . He made quite the impact for The Burlington School’s backcourt as a freshman, producing 9.8 PPG, 3.9 RPG, 2.6 APG and 1.5 SPG. He’s quite the presence already on both ends of the floor with his athleticism and skill set at 6-foot-4.
Smith IV was one of the top scorers in the state of North Carolina, according to MaxPreps, in his varsity debut with Lincolnton. He put his squad on the map this season with his play at the shooting guard spot, pouring in 32.2 PPG, 7.6 RPG and 2.4 SPG on 56 percent shooting from the floor and 46 percent shooting from deep. He debuts at No. 3 in the 2027 player rankings in the state given his prowess for scoring the ball in a variety of ways. He’ll be one to watch with Team CP3 on the EYBL stage this grassroots cycle.
Highlights
Pur is one of the more sizeable names in the class of 2027 who makes his debut at No. 4 in the rankings debut. He’s a 6-foot-10 big man who produced 11.5 PPG, 9.0 RPG and 2.8 BPG in the Burlington Christian Academy frontcourt as a freshman. He’s learned how to be effective already with his length and athleticism and has quite the upside as a stretch-big prospect over the next few seasons. As he continues to develop, he’ll be one to watch in the class. Catch him with Team United on the grassroots stage this spring/summer.
Rosser made quite the impression in the Northern Nash rotation in 2023-24 as he makes his debut at No. 5 in the 2027 player rankings. He’s a matchup nightmare in the making at 6-foot-8 given his ability to create shots off the bounce and finish around the rim. He averaged 10.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG and 1.4 BPG in his freshman season as the team’s third leading scorer. He’ll be another sizeable name to keep an eye on this grassroots cycle with Team Trezz Loftin.
Highlights
Moore was a pivotal piece in Corvian Community’s run to the NCISAA 1A State Title game as he makes his debut in the 2027 player rankings at No. 6. He led the team this season in scoring with 15.1 PPG to go along with 5.3 RPG, 1.2 APG and 1.1 SPG. He’s an athletic prospect capable of creating for himself off the catch and off the bounce as he did in their run in the NCHSAA State Playoffs. He’s another shooting guard prospect to get on your radar early as he’ll suit up with Team CP3 on the EYBL stage this upcoming grassroots cycle.
Glaspie is an emerging wing prospect to get to know out of Carver in the Winston-Salem area following a strong varsity debut. He debuts at No. 7 in the 2027 player rankings debut after averaging 15.1 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 3.0 APG, 2.4 SPG and 1.5 BPG with the Yellowjackets this past season. He’s just scratching the surface of what he can do as an option running the floor as well as creating at the guard spot. He’s a face to watch this grassroots cycle with 7th Nation Warriors .
Nixon is another star in the making at Kings Mountain alongside Bradley Floyd Bradley Floyd 6’5″ | CG Kings Mountain | 2026 State NC , a top 2026 prospect in the state already, as he debuts at No. 8 in the 2027 player rankings debut. He’s a 6-foot-3 shooting guard who finished second on the team in scoring this past season behind Floyd with 13.1 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 1.1 APG and 1.1 SPG on the year. He knocked down 68 3-pointers while shooting 36 percent behind the arc, finishing the season as one of the top shooters in the class. Keep an eye on him with Team Charlotte this grassroots cycle.
Johnson-Freeman jumped onto the PH radar this past season with Northside Christian Academy and makes his debut in the 2027 player rankings at No. 9 heading into the grassroots season. He was the third-leading scoring with the Knights this past season as he produced 8.1 PPG, 2.7 RPG and 1.0 APG on 44 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep. As he continues his development, he’s a sharpshooter to keep an eye on in the class. He’ll run with Team United this grassroots cycle.
Grier is another versatile presence in the 2027 class to keep an eye as he debuts at No. 10 in the player rankings. He’s listed at 6-foot-4 but given his athleticism and strong frame, he’s shown he’s fully capable of operating inside and out. He paced their offensive attack and set the tone with his presence defensively all season long for High Point Christian Academy as a recent mover into the 2027 class. He’ll be one to watch with Team CP3 this grassroots cycle.
