Who were the underclassmen that we saw at the Tip Off Classic and how did they play? Prep Hoops breaks it down now!

[player_tooltip player_id='1601068' first='Noah' last='Asuma'] of Cherry (fr). Noah looks a lot like Isaac in the face but although he is younger, he is a really strong player. Noah's legs, arms and core are very strong so he is able to defend a lot of older wings and some posts. He's also an excellent three point shooter that Hayfield had trouble closing out to.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579911' first='Carson' last='Brown'] of Cherry (soph). Brown has a chance to have a special season I think. He's a good shooter and with this team he is going to have his feet set ready to launch on a regular basis. But more than that, he's really grown in the past year so going at the rim I was really impressed with the quickness and the strength in finishing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579885' first='Nolan' last='Groves'] of Orono (soph). Groves scored 26 going at Minnehaha Academy and his smooth scoring touch really became a favorite of fans. That stop and pop with a really pretty release won't leave minds soon but he also did a great job of scoring in small windows on the way to the rim. Nolan has to be one of the more skilled guards in the sophomore class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103381' first='Marcus' last='Horton'] of Bloomington Jefferson (soph). Horton was a key shooter for Jefferson which allowed [player_tooltip player_id='1151197' first='Daniel' last='Freitag'] to do so much work in the paint. He hit three threes on his way to 13 points plus passed the ball really well (3 assists) which is what allows him to play within the Jefferson system at a young age.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] of Hopkins (fr). When it comes to quickness with the basketball Jayden is elite. His push, his burst off the first move, his corner turn off the ball screen, all of it. One of the toughest players to keep in front in the state. Moore shot 18 foul shots because the defenders simply could not keep his speed in front of them. He also scored on 9 of 20 shots giving him 31 points with 10 rebounds and four assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1574212' first='Anthony' last='Smith'] of Hopkins (soph). Smith is a great compliment to Moore as he can play both guard spots meaning he can knock out a three (hit four), attack to complete with his excellent separation moves and crafty attack (made 8 of 14 shots), and for the game he scored 23 points taking pressure off of Moore. Excellent showing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1579910' first='Noah' last='Sundquist'] of Cherry (soph). At 6'3 and skilled Noah is also a lot more agile and quick off his feet than expected. He also has a really good build meaning he is a better prospect than I think I was aware of. Had a solid game against Hayfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] of East Ridge (fr). With the Minnesota Gophers staff watching close Tomes was the guy that put Osseo away with late foul shots, a runner, and control of the basketball down the stretch. He scored 18 points on 5 of 12 shooting but really did the damage from the foul line plus grabbed five boards. Tomes has a special shooting touch and it's what separates him, that and his control with the basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1288748' first='Tyler' last='Wagner'] of Totino-Grace (soph). At about 6'5 with a really impressive shooting touch, [player_tooltip player_id='1288748' first='Tyler' last='Wagner'] looks like he could become one of the best shooters in his class. His size surely gives him an edge as he commonly gets a good look at the rim. He hit two early threes for the Eagles in the loss to the Panthers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1448601' first='Desmond' last='Ware'] of Robbinsdale Armstrong (soph). Ware was fantastic on both ends for the Falcons in the second half. His ball pressure of the Irish lead guard was excellent and he had four second half scores that really helped swing the momentum for his team. He had two clutch late game scores as his touch going at the rim is really impressive. Quick handles, smart passer, growing every day, and a really good touch on the move.

[player_tooltip player_id='1484016' first='Brady' last='Wooley'] of Orono (soph). The thing that really catches me is how well Wooley moves at 6'9. He has a nice touch, he has length, the skills are there, but his coordination on the move really catches you as different. Dealt with some foul issues against Minnehaha Academy but contributed a double figure scoring game.

Others

[player_tooltip player_id='2103241' first='Harrison' last='Aligbe'] of Minnehaha Academy (10th)

[player_tooltip player_id='2915814' first='Isaiah' last='Brown'] of Cherry (8th)

[player_tooltip player_id='2175446' first='Daveion' last='Hart'] of Hopkins (10th)

[player_tooltip player_id='2103258' first='De'von' last='Irvin'] of DeLaSalle (10th)

[player_tooltip player_id='1574214' first='Temi' last='Omotoyinbo'] of Osseo (10th)

[player_tooltip player_id='2103373' first='Thomas' last='Rowland'] of Bloomington Jefferson (10th)

[player_tooltip player_id='2104450' first='Charles' last='Scott'] of Robbinsdale Armstrong (soph)

[player_tooltip player_id='1595734' first='JJ' last='Semanko'] of Hopkins (10th)

[player_tooltip player_id='1574227' first='Chase' last='Watley'] of Totino-Grace (10th)
