A dominant performance by Miller who led all scorers and fueled Montverde Academy to the win, it was unbelievable watching the Kent State commit go to work offensively. An incredibly efficient scorer, Miller had some tough buckets at the rim, finishing with either hand and hanging through traffic. Using a quick release off the catch, Miller went four for six on 3-pointers and his pull-up after multiple between the legs dribble moves was the toughest bucket of the day. One of the most underrated players nationally, Miller has a chance to stand out right away at Kent State next season.

The Montverde Academy lead guard has been crucial as the team has soared up in the national rankings, finding themselves first on some websites now with their recent win streak. Miller is a strong guard who can attack the rim and provides excellent rebounding for his size. His toughness will fit in well at the Kent State program that has consistently finished near the top of the MAC. Miller has been a lifer at Montverde Academy and is the only remaining player from their 2024 Chipotle National Championship squad. With Miller helping lead the way in 2026, he’ll hope to win that title again under new Head Coach Steve Turner.

Tournament MVP Dhani Miller averaged 16.5 points per game in two close wins for the Eagles over The Rock and Faith Family Academy. The Kent State signee has taken a clear step forward in his consistency as a shot maker this season while also expanding his impact as a playmaker, routinely creating offensive opportunities for teammates. With his improved feel, scoring versatility, and confidence, don’t be surprised if Miller emerges as an early contributor in the MAC next season.

Dhani is a versatile wing who makes an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he’s a pest on the ball, using quick hands, active feet, and relentless energy to disrupt opponents and create turnovers. Dog of the night! If there was a bucket to get, he chewed it up and spit it out. No kibbles, no Bits. All BBQ chicken and baked macaroni with the Yams on the side.

In maybe the most entertaining game on Friday’s slate, Montverde Academy’s Dhani Miller was the star finishing with 22 points in a win over Gillion Academy (VA). The son of former Montverde Assistant Coach and current Orlando Magic scout Rae Miller, the senior showed the ability to score in a variety of ways. He is a capable shot maker with range but also proved he could use his strength and size to get into the paint and finish over high level size. The recent Kent State commit should have a chance to be an immediate impact guard in the Mid-American Conference.

Miller plays with great composure, always making the right reads and staying under control. Whether leading the break or attacking from the wing, he knows how to manipulate defenders and get to his spots. His strong frame allows him to absorb contact and still finish effectively. Miller’s ability to play at his own pace while remaining a consistent scoring threat makes him one of the most reliable guards in the class.

Next up we have Montverde’s Dhani Miller, who just makes the right reads and decisions all over the court. He can lead the break or can slot into the off-guard role and break down his defenders that way. He protects the ball on his drives and works to take contact and still finish through it. His 6’3” and 185 lb frame allows him to handle contact and take punishment while still having the bucket in mind. Miller is the type of guard who also does not get rushed or sped up. Though he has a quick release, his pre-shot preparation is what allows him the ability to knock down jumpers in his defender’s face. He’s squared up to the basket and ready to receive the pass if he’s in the off-guard role. Conversely, he can also dribble into a pull-up within the flow of offense is his man lags off and gives him an opening.
