Caleb Embeya Caleb Embeya 6'9" | C St. Maria Goretti | 2024 State #238 Nation MD | 6’9” | F | Patrick School
Embeya had a great AAU season with the Roadrunners for Sandy Pyonin and his powerful post game was at work the entire summer–We saw him up close at the Pittsburgh Jam Fest and he’s a tough matchup. He runs the floor well for a big man, can elevate to block shots and grab rebounds, uses powerful moves in the post and a soft finish around the rim. He’s an aggressive rebounder and shot blocker with a high ceiling. Scholarship level forward with a huge upside.
Ebrahim Kaba Ebrahim Kaba 6'7" | SF Peddie | 2024 #302 Nation NJ | 6’6” | F | Gill St Bernards
Kaba recently flipped from East Orange to Gill and will re-classify with a Prep Year to follow, so he’s now listed as a 2024. He’s a tough post player who has good handles for a forward and is a rugged defender. Kaba is smooth around the bucket but also has range that extends beyond the arc to draw defenders away from the rim. Had 22&10 vs Newark Tech and hit for 15 vs Ridgewood in states. He’ll be a key part of the GSB rebuild.
Daniel Yarus Daniel Yarus 6'6" | SF Spotswood | 2024 State NJ | 6’6” | F | Spotswood
Yarus had a fantastic sophomore year for the Chargers. He can play anywhere in the front court at the HS level. Long and lean forward who can get around the rim and finish but can also keep defenders honest by shooting from beyond the arc. Yarus is a good shooter and hits the boards hard. He had 20 vs JFK, 18 vs North Plainfield and 16 vs Middlesex last year. One of the top bigs in the GMC for 2024.
Michaelangelo Oberti Michaelangelo Oberti 6'10" | C Morris Catholic | 2024 State NJ | 6’8” | F | Morris Catholic
Smooth big man who is still growing into his wide frame. Oberti can run the floor well for a big man and moves the ball very well from within the post. Can finish around the rim and executes the pick-and-roll well. He’ll be a key piece for Morris Catholic the next two years. He rolled up the double-double count last year, including 14&16 vs Union Catholic.
Eunique Rink Eunique Rink 6'9" | C College Achieve | 2024 State NJ |6’8” | F | Payne Tech
Rink is one of the top big men in Essex County for 2024. He’s a physical presence in the post and can finish strong at the basket. Rink is athletic on defense and is a highly effective shot blocker. He will be a force in Essex County the next two years. He had 14&11 vs North Bergen and 16 vs East Orange. Double-doubles in 3 of his last 5 games. He had 80 blocks as a sophomore. Scholarship level forward.
