Section 6AAAA Rundown
Coming into this year we thought that this was going to be a fantastic battle between Wayzata, Hopkins and Minneapolis South. The Trojans would still have been the favorite with Spencer Hall Spencer Hall 6'3" | SF Wayzata | 2023 State MN and Hayden Tibbits Hayden Tibbits 5'11" | PG Wayzata | 2023 State MN back in their main roles, Jackson McAndrew and Myles Barnette Myles Barnette 6'2" | PG Wayzata | 2023 State MN stepping into bigger roles, and several young players stepping into the supporting spots. Then Minneapolis South lost seven players to transfer and Hopkins lost five players to transfer. South was expected to be a contender so that was gutting whereas Hopkins had some chemistry issues so the exodus there was likely best for the future. Hopkins still has a team that will compete although they will be mixing it up with Armstrong and Cooper for the second spot in the section. Armstrong is a deeper team of talent than I think people know and Cooper is always a tough squad to defeat. Also keep an eye on Washburn, they have a solid group of their rotation returning.
