They didn’t hit the win column, but all of their games were tight contests except one. They were a well-balanced team that spread around their scoring. Let’s take a look at their roster and the prospect’s standout traits.
Israel Olowo
Israel Olowo
Olowo was one of the top athletes from the 15U group at Hopkins High School. Such an elite mover and he has a strong muscular build. Glides on the court and also has elite suddenness. Offensively, he has a good enough handle to explode off the drive. Not an elite three-point shooter but he can hit a few if he gets good looks. The team’s leading scorer at 12.0 ppg. He thrived in transition and was also a playmaker as a passer that could zip passes with velocity and accuracy.
Olson has decent length at 6’1” from a wing spot. I thought he competed defensively. Doesn’t have a handle on the ball where he can continue his dribble for long stretches, but he’s a good passer and can find teammates.

Johnson is a power forward/4 that did most of his offensive work in the paint, but he wasn’t planted in that area. He could play away from the hoop as well. Defensively, his length was used in the press/pressure where he played as the first/initial defender and was the chaser and followed the pass to pressure and create some defensive activity. Consistent and persistent motor.
Ezra is a solid athlete and point guard that is an adequate ball-handler. Can jump and move. A willing defender that will get in a stance and be ready. I thought he competed a gave great effort and willingness to make a winning play. Seems like a kid that loves the game and competing on the court.
I thought Ben showed some flashes. Showed some nice moves in traffic and made some nice finishes. A wing/forward that showed to be a pretty good athlete and mover and could defend with versatility. One of the higher upside prospects on the team.
I thought Kole was an aggressive offensive threat. Wasn’t putting in 20 per game, but he was attacking the hoop and looking to score more than not. Had to be guarded and contested at the three-point line. GameChanger app had him at 10.5 ppg.

Murtha has some decent length from a wing spot. He noticeably runs the floor and gives effort. He’ll dive for loose balls and put his body on the line. He hustled back to defend the hoop with transition defense and didn’t let up anything easy.
Jayden is the team’s best ball-handler with an elite handle where he can breakdown a defender on the move. A wicked crossover that gets the on-ball defender off balance. I believe he’s a true point guard with his ability to keep a dribble, relieve pressure, and change speeds.
Highlights
Max acts as Real Phenom Mason’s interior player. Undersized in the paint area at 6’1”, but I thought he held his own. Made a lot of hustle plays, where he willed his way to gain possession for his team.
Tate is a gamer that comes to play with energy and focus. Seemed like he was always locked-in and ready to make a play and a difference for his team. A smooth, consistent, and quick release from three. He hit four threes in one of the games, so he can get hot. Competes defensively with activity and playmaking on the ball.
