Coming in as the seventh ranked player in the state, Randall is a consistent double double threat with room to grow as an offensive threat. At roughly 6’7, the power forward possesses a rare combination of burst and reach. While Randall gets a significant portion of buckets from loose balls, he is equally advantageous cutting without the rock. Given his reach and long strides, Randall not only gets downhill quick but rises up faster than a lot of guys in the state. Defensively, the senior forward is dependable staying in front of perimeter threats or banging in the post with larger forwards. While Randall contributed an incredibly efficient 70% of his shot attempts last season, I would like to see him get bit more versatile on the offensive end. That could be taking more jump shots or attacking driving lanes from the perimeter.
Kyree Polk Kyree Polk 6'10" | C Vista PEAK Prep | 2024 State CO – Vista Peak – 2024
Polk is a big bodied forward who will be a consistent double double threat in this upcoming season. Standing roughly 6’8, Polk constantly hunted for boards on both ends. On the offensive end, he is not only bulky but assertive getting to his spots. As well, Polk proved to be more than capable out muscling opponents when going up for put backs. The young forward will be notable under the radar prospect with significant room to grow.
Tristan Jackson Tristan Jackson 6'5" | PF Salida | 2023 State CO – Salida – 2023
Jackson was a high flying wing at roughly 6’5 who boasted positional strength and confidence scoring inside the arc. The wing’s verticality off either foot was simply incredible, allowing him to hunt down blocks well above the rim. Transition is another area Jackson excelled, given his long strides and uniquely light burst. Although possessing elite athleticism, Jackson is still relatively unknown as a prospect, division two or higher programs will want to keep track of a high upside defensive prospect.
Hunter Caldwell Hunter Caldwell 6'10" | PF Lutheran | 2024 State CO – Lutheran – 2024
Caldwell is an intriguing forward with some perimeter skills that could make him a volatile offensive wing over the next six to twelve months. At roughly 6’9, Caldwell has improved key perimeter skills over this summer, ranging from ballhandling comfort to rhythm shooting. Although primarily utilized as a pick and pop threat, the forward showed flashes attacking the rim off closeouts. The biggest swing skill for the young forward will be the ballhandling ability in traffic. Although Caldwell has become much more confident with the ball, he still has room to grow as a functionally sound big wing.
Jackson Seale – McKinney – 2023
Seale was the tallest player in the gym at roughly 6’10, bringing soft touch and noticeable aggression on the glass. One of two Texans at this event, Seale was dependable scoring the ball off of putbacks and short hook shots, coming off either hand. The young forward is largely a play finisher who gets to his spots with his back to the basket. Out of all the bigs here, Seale clearly had the softest touch around the rim. Continuing to become a more versatile threat through face-ups and attacking driving lanes from the perimeter will aid his shot versatility. One especially encouraging aspect is Seale’s free throw consistency, leaving the significant possibility to stretch the floor in due time.
