Continue Reading#20 – High-ranking lead guard, T’Johnn Brown T’Johnn Brown 6’0″ | PG Dallas Kimball | 2023 State TX has the opportunity not only to lead the Kimball Knights in scoring, steals, and assists but he’s also in a position to lead the Knights to their 3rd straight State Finals appearance. Currently, Brown holds an offer from Murray State University but his recruitment is expected to take a significant spike throughout the upcoming season. This ultra-athletic guard has all of the tools it takes to lead an offense, he’s a natural at the point guard position with a terrific feel for the game and elite scoring instincts. Most of all, T’Johnn is super explosive, elusive, crafty, and a gritty lockdown defender that gives an extraordinary amount of effort. Brown has also become one of the most dangerous transition finishers in the state due to his blistering speed and quickness along with the creativity off the dribble, body control, and craftiness in the air.
#19 – Gunter had an outstanding junior campaign in which he was awarded the 7-5A District Defensive Most Valuable Player after averaging about 8 rebounds, 7 points, and 5 blocks per game. At 6-foot-11-inches, Nick Gunter shows incredible potential as a skilled postman with good footwork down low alongside a potent face-up and back-to-the-basket style of play. He easily finishes above the rim with double handed slam dunks and has no trouble beating his man off the dribble with his first step or quick spin-off move. Gunter has also displayed flashes of brilliance as a passer at times with good court vision. On the defensive end, Nick consistently displays maximum effort, willing to guard anyone and defend the paint with authority. The Wyatt center doesn’t allow anything to come easy or uncontested, his timing and anticipation to block a jumper or an inside shot is one of his many skills that will translate to the college level. Nicholas Gunter Nicholas Gunter 6’11” | C O.D. Wyatt | 2023 State TX will likely have his best season yet and he might impress potential colleges with just how much he has improved offensively. This kid has a good ceiling and as he packs on muscle to his near 7-foot frame he’ll surely be a next- level two-way asset.
#18 – Aric Demings Aric Demings 6’0″ | PG Duncanville | 2023 State TX really shined with Drive Nation on the EYBL Circuit this past summer, proving to be one of the most efficient all-around point guards in the country, the type of point guard that can lead the troops and run the offense as an extension of the coach. Demings has garnered a lot of interest as well as 2 D1 offers over the past year from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and more recently Loyola Marymount University. There’s a lot to love about Aric Demings Aric Demings 6’0″ | PG Duncanville | 2023 State TX , his game and skills are built to transition to the collegiate level, he plays with a great competitive spirit, he’s constantly improving and adding to his game, and he might even grow another inch or two, but most of all he’s a flat-out winner who’s on the hunt for his 4th straight Texas state title as a Duncanville Panther.

#17 – Throughout North Texas, Nuckolls is widely known as one of the most prolific shot makers off the dribble and one of the most deadly off the catch. Garrett has the ideal size and skills for his position, he shoots it from deep insanely well, showing true potential as a 3-point specialist with a remarkable game-changing shooting expertise. Nuckolls has displayed a very consistent jumpshot for some time now, impeccable shooting form, fluid soft-touch shot release, perfect elevation, and he always keeps his body squared and his eyes locked onto his target until the ball goes through the net. Nuckolls can nail a three-pointer in countless ways whether it’s a spot-up or pull-up jumper after beating his man off the dribble with one of his many tricky moves. The 6-foot-5 sharpshooter had such an amazing junior season that he was awarded the 16-4A District Most Valuable Player of the Year alongside receiving 3 Division 1 scholarship offers from programs such as Troy University, Midwestern State University, and East Central University.
#16 – David Terrell David Terrell 6’4″ | CG Mansfield Summit | 2023 State TX has the chance to become a terrific college player because of his leadership qualities and ability to quickly adapt to any situation. Terrell is a 6-foot-4 two-guard with a wildly impactful set of skills. The Mansfield Summit senior consistently displays great intangibles, a team-first mentality, phenomenal control of the tempo of the game, a highly unselfish mindset, a willing passer with an advanced feel for the game, and a top-notch playmaker who makes winning plays in clutch moments and plays his best in the biggest games. He’s a true all-around talent with very few glaring weaknesses to his game and such a dynamic defensive prowess that he was awarded the 8-5A District Defensive Player of the Year due to how effectively he shuts down, slows down, or limits the opportunities of his opponents whether they’re a guard or a wing-forward. Ever since the tail end of June, following the TABC Showcase, Terrell has gained 11 Division 1 basketball scholarship offers along with plenty more interest.
