The Prep Hoops South Finals brought the circuit a competitive event, creating a championship-level environment where effort, intensity, and production were on full display. Here we take a look at some of the standouts who embraced the moment and delivered when the stakes were highest.

A big guard with size, power, and strong body control. Traiden Alford facilitated the offense effectively while consistently keeping his head up and surveying the floor for mismatches to exploit. Alford's physical tools allowed him to play through contact and operate with poise, while his feel for the game helped keep the offense organized and flowing. Good passing ability paired well with his court vision, as he swiftly moved the ball and delivered quick kick-outs through tight defensive windows.

Williams was ready to perform with energy, speed, and quickness early in the morning for the earliest games, doing what he does best as he controlled the offense, dictated tempo, and got downhill with ease. [player_tooltip player_id='3589793' first='Brayden' last='Williams'] finished with high-arcing layups around shot blockers, showing poise and touch against pressure and traffic. As a point guard, he exudes pure paint-touch potential for the next level, capable of adding another layer to an offense built around pace and shooters. He changed directions at top speed, shifting through the defense like they were cones and consistently forcing defenders into recovery mode.

This prospect played hard on each and every possession. Defended the ball with lateral quickness and his chest, cutting off straight-line drives while getting a strong gauge on his man's tendencies, leading to steals and stops. He stayed attached at all times, making life difficult at the point of attack. He was everywhere, displaying a highly active motor, constant floor spacing, purposeful cutting, and quick recovery instincts whether he got beat on defense or trapped the ball before sprinting back to his assignment. Padron's communication on both sides of the ball was phenomenal and at an elite level, not only calling out his positioning and actions developing ahead of time, but also directing teammates on where, when, and how to attack or break their defender down.

[player_tooltip player_id='2859056' first='Logan' last='Henry']'s a quality floor general who made everyone around him better and had full command of the offense. He thrived collapsing the defense, initiating actions, and keeping the ball moving. Henry showed a knack for creating angles off the bounce, dragging his man outside the lane before attacking the middle downhill. Off the ball, Henry ran the baseline effectively, curling up from the corner for catch-and-shoot actions on the move. There are multiple layers to his game, especially offensively, making him somebody a coach can play through and consistently set up to score on a possession-by-possession basis.

Every team needs a player like [player_tooltip player_id='2557213' first='Tripp' last=''] Robinson. His high basketball IQ was highlighted through his decision-making, consistently making the correct and unselfish read. He showed an advanced understanding of pace, knowing when to push tempo in transition, when to slow things down, and how to find his shot naturally within the flow of the offense. Robinson contributes from either guard position, excelling on and off the ball with spacing, extra passes, and the ability to score from the inside out while impacting winning in a variety of ways.
