‘s a quality floor general who made everyone around him better and had full command of the offense. He thrived collapsing the defense, initiating actions, and keeping the ball moving. Henry showed a knack for creating angles off the bounce, dragging his man outside the lane before attacking the middle downhill. Off the ball, Henry ran the baseline effectively, curling up from the corner for catch-and-shoot actions on the move. There are multiple layers to his game, especially offensively, making him somebody a coach can play through and consistently set up to score on a possession-by-possession basis.

that has shown significant improvement since my last evaluation at the Prep Hoops sophomore camp. During the Lonestar State Showdown against Houston Showtime, he consistently scored in the second half. His performance over the weekend saw him averaging 24 points per game, significantly boosting his team’s offense. With his recent rise in the rankings, Logan will have the opportunity to contribute beyond his scoring ability, enhancing his overall game.

All-around point guard skillset. The game has slowed down for him, allowing him to make plays at will, facilitating, setting teammates up, and creating separation for jumpers off the bounce with misdirections and hesitations. Good footwork in swing scenarios, spotting up and hopping into rhythm for deep catch-and-shoot attempts where he proved to be efficient. When Henry penetrated, he fully committed to the drive until something opened up, if the defense collapsed, he swiftly kicked; if his man stayed attached, he smoothly floated it; and once he got his defender on his hip, he finished at the rack with touch.

affects the game with more than just his scoring, showing a willingness to attack the glass and contribute in multiple areas. He has a natural knack for using pivots to create space or escape tough situations, rarely getting sped up. When driving to the basket, Henry keeps his eyes on the second line of defense, which allows him to deliver accurate passes through traffic or over defenders. His poise and awareness make him a well-rounded offensive threat who plays beyond his years.

set the tone immediately with an early bucket getting right off the tip, establishing his presence from the jump. He showed the ability to operate as the offensive orchestrator, initiating sets and creating advantages with precision. Henry also showed bursts of athleticism, off the bounce his first step was elite, often needing just a single dribble to get into his pull-up or explode off one foot for a smooth finish at the rim. Off the ball, he never stopped moving, sprinting lanes, cutting with purpose, and relocating along the perimeter for open looks. Defensively, Henry’s instincts stood out well beyond his years. He anticipated actions, jumped passing lanes, generated on-ball steals, and forced turnovers with sheer awareness, determination, and the ability to rip the ball away in live-play situations.

truly demonstrated his exceptional talent at the offensive end, showcasing remarkable skill for his young age at the guard position. Throughout the Tune Up, he consistently demonstrated his ability to make plays that translate into victories. His pace is never stagnant, as he effortlessly adapts to various defenses while handling the ball. Logan’s performance should undoubtedly attract more attention as he progresses through his high school career.
What’s Next for Logan?
Logan will be entering his sophomore year of high school, and I’m certain that his development this summer will translate to the fall. His attention to detail while on the court is exceptional, especially when he has the ball in his hands. He makes excellent reads, and I believe he will continue to improve in this area as time goes on. If he continues to develop his game, I have no doubt that Logan can significantly enhance his recruitment and potentially reach a high level.

put on an impressive offensive performance that kept his team in the lead for most of the game, ultimately securing a victory. A crucial momentum boost for his team’s lead came from his shot from the wing. He received the ball open after an effective off-ball screen set by his teammate. Logan demonstrated his ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates, shoot from the perimeter, attack the basket, and dictate the pace of the offense, which primarily revolves around him. Despite the on-ball pressure from defenders, he remained composed and patiently initiated the offense. Considering his graduation in 2028, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear more of his name in the coming years. Logan undoubtedly stood out as one of the most skilled guards in the 16U division this weekend.

Logan is a skilled, versatile combo guard with a great handle and excellent footwork that allows him to attack his opposition from multiple angles. He has a nice shooting ability with range that extends beyond the three-point line. He has fantastic lift on his jumper that helps him get his shots up and over longer defenders without losing any accuracy. He’s a significant threat offensively and will punish his defenders if they give him any sort of space. He also displays nice patience when opponents want to play him tight and he uses his elite footwork and sound decision-making to work his way through each scenario to the best opportunity available. Henry is only going to get better as long as he keeps hustling and I can’t wait to see all the attention follow.

One of the biggest breakout performers of the weekend, Logan Henry was the offensive engine for his team. Nearly every possession ran through him first, and he excelled at setting teammates up with easy looks in the paint and from the perimeter. Logan played with elite pace, never rushed or sped up, calmly using stop-and-go moves to carve out angles. Contact at the rim didn’t faze him, he maintained body control midair and showed impressive touch finishing through bumps. His footwork continues to develop at a high level, using hop steps, jump stops, and stride stops to freeze helpside defenders and make split-second decisions. His creativity and court awareness were tightly connected, especially in the air, where he showed the ability to contort into tough layups or deliver instinctive wrap-around passes. His combination of poise, improvisation, and feel gave him the look of a future high-level lead guard.
