Bilal Abdur-Rahman Bilal Abdur-Rahman 5'11" | PG Norcross | 2023 State GA , Team Huncho 17u – The word “smart” is what comes to mind first when watching Abdur-Rahman. The 6-footer understands how to control the pace and tempo of a game, gets paint touches at-will, and is always looking to hit an open shooter or advance the ball up the floor in transition. Abdur-Rahman gets great lift on his pull-up jump shot and has a giant-killing floater in the lane.
Robert Taylor Robert Taylor 5'11" | PG Corona Centennial | 2023 State CA-S , Gamepoint Elite 17u – Taylor’s name won’t ring the familiarity bell like some others on this list, but the Corona Centennial high school product pulled all the right strings for Gamepoint. Taylor, a strong and quick 5-foot-11 guard, won’t “wow” onlookers with elite vertical athleticism, crazy acrobatic finishes or a barrage of perimeter jumpers, but his steadiness, passing accuracy and timing, and ability to take care of the basketball has been a crucial piece of GP success.
DJ Thomas DJ Thomas 6'2" | PG Liberty | 2024 #19 Nation NV , Dream Vision 17u – If there’s a player in America’s 2023 class who embodies the “true point guard” terminology, its Thomas. The 6-foot-1 lefty is the ultimate signal caller whose uncanny ability to manipulate the game with his passing and ball-handling is a rare trait to find in a young floor general. Thomas rarely gets sped up and seems to always be thinking the game one step ahead of the opponent.
Kyle Greene Kyle Greene 6'3" | PG Pace Academy | 2024 State #155 Nation GA , Upward Stars 17u – Greene has great size and feel for the position and what earned him a spot on this list is how well he plays off of two feet in the paint. The 6-foot-3, class of 2024 prospect has great footwork when coming to a stop and pivoting his way out of trouble to get himself a secondary look at the rim or find a teammate cutting or spotting up. Greene plays the game with a smoothness and effortlessness that is enjoyable to watch.
Logan Imes Logan Imes 6'4" | PG Zionsville | 2023 State #202 Nation IN , Indiana Elite 17u – The Penn State-commit is just a fearless all-around point guard. At 6-feet-3, Imes has impressive quickness out of the triple threat or when exploding past a defender out of a dribble hesitation move. Imes hits the lane quickly, but under control, and has the IQ to make the right play based on what the defense gives him.
