On Sunday, Land played with a lot more aggressiveness and toughness than I saw on Saturday for Indy Heat. Going up against a top 60 ranked center in Jaden Toombs, Land had his hands full in the paint. After giving up a couple easy buckets to start, Land got into the flow of the game and really bothered Toombs defensively. Land avoided fouls and got his hands on loose balls and rebounds. Combine that with defending the post long enough for his guards to double down and moving his feet on the perimeter, Land had a nice overall performance. Got capped off with a couple nice finishes at the rim including a back-scratcher dunk to seal the win, I left impressed with what Land did in a big time match-up for him.

When we debuted 2025 rankings on the website, Land came in at number three due to his impressive athleticism and movement skills at his size. After scoring 5.7 PPG as a Sophomore for Moeller, it appears this winter will be his breakout season. After a strong month of June with the Crusaders where Land was being aggressive in the paint with dunks and offensive rebounds, Land has also improved his perimeter shot as well. Showing flashes more often of a prospect that has high major potential, Land once again finds himself in our top seven. Land received early offers from Bryant, Ohio, Xavier and Virginia Tech, with Dayton and Indiana State being the latest programs to come calling. For Moeller to be one of the top teams in Ohio this season, Land taking that next step will be a key to reclaiming dominance in the greater Cincinnati area.
