This class is stacked with talent at all positions but for this article we are taking a look at the big boys. While there are three big men at the top of the class who are very good prospects these guys are not to be forgotten as they themselves are great college prospects as well.
Charlie Dortch Charlie Dortch 6'7" | PF L'anse Creuse North | 2023 State CO – Rocky Mountain
Charlie Dortch Charlie Dortch 6'7" | PF L'anse Creuse North | 2023 State CO is a guy who we had an eye on this high school season and he thoroughly impressed. Charlie has great height stading 6’7, he uses this height to bully defenders inside. Downlow he is a bully with his back to the basket, he has a good set of post moves and he likes going towards the middle of the lane for hook shots. Charlie also has some stretch big potential with a good set shot from mid range and a developing shot from three point land. When Charlie plays with confidence he is one of the best players in this class, as he keeps growing and learning the game he will be more and more of a match up nightmare.
Ty Adam Ty Adam 6'8" | C Severance | 2023 State CO – Severance
Ty Adam Ty Adam 6'8" | C Severance | 2023 State CO had some of the best stats of anyone in his class this high school season. He averaged 17.7 points and 8.8 rebounds a game as a sophomore leading his team to their first ever playoff appearance. Ty dominated in high school and has continued that onto the grassroots scene; he is a great athlete for his size at 6’8 which allows him to run the floor like a guard and can finish above the rim. Ty uses this athleticism and broad frame to box out and grab plenty of rebounds. Also he has developing jumper that is looking pretty good at the moment, with his athleticism we could see him playing combo forward in the future. Ty is a big man with high potential with his elite athleticism and great size for a power forward.
Carey Booth Carey Booth 6'9" | PF Brewster Academy | 2023 State #83 Nation New E – Cherry Creek
Carey Booth Carey Booth 6'9" | PF Brewster Academy | 2023 State #83 Nation New E is someone who we only saw just a little bit of at Cherry Creek this year but when he got in one could automatically see his potential. Carey has great size standing at 6’7 but is most comfortable out on the wing. Most of Carey’s baskets this year where from behind the three point as he is a very good three point shooter. But in the AAU season we have gotten to see more of him putting work down low, while Carey is still raw he is a solid finisher down low. With Carey’s shooting ability and great size college coaches will start to take notice soon.
Nick Randall Nick Randall 6'7" | PF Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO – Fossil Ridge
Nick Randall Nick Randall 6'7" | PF Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO is another player who we saw bits and pieces of his potential this high school season. Nick moves very well for a 6’6 forward and is someone who does mind doing the dirty work. While Nick may not always be leading his team in points he is an unselfish player who can play any role you ask of him. When running down the court he is very good at filling lanes, and finding open spots to get open layups. Nick has been a great performer in the grassroots season and we are excited to keep tracking him.
