Player to Watch:
Brant Smithers. One of the top scorers in Northern Kentucky this past season, Smithers is a lights out shooter who led the entire state in 3s made per game as well as 3 point percentage. He is also among the top free throw shooters in the state and can get to the line consistently.
X Factor:
Kaedon Butts. He only averaged 2 points and 2 rebounds per game in 20 games last season for New Cath but Butts is going to be counted on to man the post spot for Select 16u and could really speed up his development for next season with a strong 16u summer.
Potential Surprise:
Cameron Christy. The second leading scorer for Walton-Verona (behind Smithers), Christy is a big guard who can score the ball with some efficiency and is an excellent rebounder out of the guard spot. After missing 10 games in his Sophomore season, Cameron is hoping to establish himself as a top Junior in the 8th region this upcoming season.
