Pumas Fall League: Top Performers

Edwards is an impressive set shooter who can also create his own look. Edwards has a big run in the second half of the game I caught, turning a deficit into a lead with some timely shot making. Maybe his best play during the scoring run was a putback layup over taller players where Edwards simply wanted the ball more than the opposition. The threat of Edwards scoring drew a lot of defensive attention that he was able to get other guys open to score. Middle drive and score, Nelson showed the ability to finish going up off both one or two feet in the paint. Nelson had another transition drive and-1 finish. Nelson then followed it up with a step through lefty finish in the paint. The defense was unable to stay in front of Hanna at the point of attack and he found a lot of success. Weinandy also showed quick hands defensively in the press, looking to strip opposing ball handlers and quickly advancing the ball after steals. After sitting for a while in the second half, Weinandy came back in the game fresh and ready to attack with multiple drive and kicks to set up shooters, a pull-up 3-pointers and a nice defensive stop to force a pass out of bounds. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["3767291"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6ac115b55a4d3"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Another strong week for the Grove City guard, who did a nice job passing out of the trapping defense that was being thrown at him. Hansen also had a nice lefty finish off a euro step and played with poise with the ball in his hands. Hansen also had a nice floater finish that showed his soft touch at the rim.
