A quick wing, Nelson wants to get to the rim off the dribble and is at his best in the open court. Middle drive and score, Nelson showed the ability to finish going up off both one or two feet in the paint. Nelson had another transition drive and-1 finish. Nelson then followed it up with a step through lefty finish in the paint. A player who also stood out at our sophomore ID camp, Nelson has had a nice fall as he gears up for his sophomore season at Hilliard Darby.

One of my favorite new names from the camp, Nelson immediately caught my eye with his aggressiveness, physicality, athleticism and interior scoring. It seemed like every time I turned over to his court, Nelson was scoring at the rim or making a play. Able to take it coast to coast, if Nelson got a defensive rebound he wouldn’t stop unless the defense forced him to give it up and a couple times he went straight to the rim to score. Overall very impressive showing from Nelson as his athletic tools should make him an impact player in the OCC this winter.
