Prep Hoops Indiana : The Expo | Team 8 Evals

All of our events at Prep Hoops Indiana generate a lot of attention across the state. However, the growth of The Expo is a major point of pride for our team as we wrap up the summer. This year we double the size of the event bringing in nearly 120 prospects in the Classes of 2027 and 2028. Also, more than just the raw numbers, the level of talent was very impressive. We hosted over 40 Top 100 prospects today and had college coaches from the Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels in attendance. This was truly one of the best exposure events of the year that you could attend as a prospect.   As always, we will be unleashing a ton of content over the next week or so coming out of The Expo. We will have evaluations of every player in attendance post on a team-by-team basis. Also, top performers, new names, and more will be highlighted. Here is a full evaluation for Team 8. Balanced 6'1” guard that makes shots at a high level, defends full court with active hands, and balances his scoring with his facilitating as well as any guard I saw at camp.     Another steady guard in the 2028 class that was relentless getting downhill and was able to score seemingly at will around the rim. Scecina Memorial Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2954490' first='Ian' last='Collins'] possesses a quick first step and the strength and balance to play through contact and finish plays at the rim. Was really good in the open floor and shot some pop in his athleticism. Also a high level defender that's capable of being a complete game changer on the defensive end.     Lengthy Forward that played with a high motor at the Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. Indianapolis Ritter 6'4” 2027 F [player_tooltip player_id='2140353' first='DJ' last='Smiley'] impacted the game in the paint on both ends with his rebounding ability and was able to clean up on the offensive glass. A bit raw offensively, but the effort he played with was fun to watch.     High energy athletic wing/forward out of South Ripley that was able to make plays all day long at the Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo simply off his energy and effort. [player_tooltip player_id='2477290' first='Blake' last='Gunter'] is an intriguing prospect with good instincts on the offensive glass. Super athletic that continues to get more skilled. Impacts the game on both ends in the paint while the jump shot is a work in progress, but is vastly improving.     One of the more impressive performers at the Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo came from 6'7” Hauser 2027 Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2416697' first='Joel' last='Bechtel']. Mobile forward with good length and skill. Played with an extremely high motor and attacked the glass on both ends and showed a soft touch over both shoulders. Has the ability to space the floor, but what impressed me the most was his play off the dribble to get all the way to the rim as well as him     High Energy Guard out of South Bend Adams that really impressed me in my first viewing of him on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id='3681264' first='Armonn' last='Harris'] is a quick twitch guard that really competes on the defensive end. Active hands and pressuring the ball, he was able to create turnovers and get easy buckets for his team. Offensively he was unselfish and showed a nice handle and knack for getting in the lane and creating.     Another shifty guard from the class of 2028 that was really impressive in his first appearance in front of me. Anderson Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3218188' first='Raymond' last='Bowling'] is a lightning quick left handed guard that can heat up in a hurry and go on monster scoring runs. Does an excellent job of creating space and showed deep range on his three-point shot.     Another first time viewing a prospect at the Prep Hoops Indiana: The Expo. 6'2” physical guard [player_tooltip player_id='2552507' first='Paris' last='Brown'] out of Portage was relentless getting to the basket where was showed a high level of finishing around the basket. Uses angles well and absorbs contact on his drives. Didn't force anything at the rim and showed he is a willing passer.     Taller guard out of Jeffersonville that wreaked havoc defensively with his length and quickness. Versatile defender that showed great anticipation skills on the wing and rebounds well from the guard spot. Comfortable playing on or off the ball, he's a tempo pusher with good court vision. Uses his size to his advantage. Does a good job turning his drives into post ups on smaller defenders and is able to rise up over defenders in the midrange and showed a soft touch.
