Indiana Sophomore ID Camp: 3v3 Observations

However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Two weeks ago, on September 6th at the Noblesville Boys &amp; Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. I love his effort on defense. He plays much bigger than his size would indicate. Going against bigger players, he is very feisty and physical on defense. He is very good on defense, forcing a couple of turnovers, encircling opponents and displaying nice hands to deflect passes. Very tall and athletic player who is a very good rebounder. While he is somewhat inconsistent as a long-range shooter, he flashes range from the three-point line. Battles has ability to dunk and quickly cuts to the basket for easy layups. Very explosive player. Physical on defense with good use of hands. Has a good wingspan. He has the potential to dominate the paint, using his arm length to grab rebounds. He also does a great job of boxing out opponents under the rim. During 3v3, he didn't really showcase his ability to move, dribble or pass; he was more or less a catch-and-shoot guy who just didn't miss.
