There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Here are some of the emerging new names that caught our attention during the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. If your team's evaluation article gets posted and you were NOT included please connect with Brandon Ramsey on Twitter or via email at coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com and he will take care of the mistake.***

Biddle can flat out fill it up from beyond the arc. We saw his shooting ability over the course of the summer and he reiterated his perimeter shot-making skills on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 5'10" guard from Zionsville High School moves well away from the ball, understands how to utilize screening action to get open on the perimeter, and has a quick release. We will continue to monitor Biddle as he develops physically in the coming years.

We got to see Castelli catch fire during one of his 5-on-5 games at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. There was a stretch where the left-handed guard knocked in three straight three-point shots, including a couple of tough ones off of the bounce, showcasing his shot-making ability. Then, he capped off that stretch with a beautiful assist in transition. There is obviously no shortage of talent at Fishers High School, but Castelli will be a name to remember over the next couple of years.

There was a stretch during one of Hester's 5-on-5 games where he simply took over. The 5'6" point guard from Richmond High School made a couple of three-point shots, finished around the basket, and got a steal defensively that lead to a layup. He ended up scoring 13 points in the matter of just a few minutes. Hester is a high IQ player that works hard defensively on the ball and does a great job of hitting ahead in transition to start the break. It was good to see him play so well on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was our first opportunity to see this international transfer to South Bend Riley High School. His skill level immediately stood out to us. He is a very good ball handler and a very willing passer with excellent court vision. We saw him make several great plays from a live dribble in transition and when attacking the paint in the half court. Look for him to fit in nicely to an already very talented backcourt at Riley. He is good enough to get on the floor right away.

We've seen Lee play well a few times this summer so his strong play at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp wasn't a shock to us, but there will be plenty of people still learning his name this winter. Look for him to step into a role right away as a sophomore after transferring from Homestead High School to Columbia City High School. Lee is a physical guard who found success attacking the basket consistently and aggressively on Sunday. His strength and willingness to play through contact at the end of his drives is impressive.

One of two Fort Wayne Snider High School big men that really impressed us at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, Myers is a completely new name on our radar. The 6'7" center has the requisite length and athleticism inside to be a projectable big man. He finishes above the rim, rebounds in his area, and is bouncy enough to be a shot-blocking threat defensively. As he continues to get stronger and develop his raw skill set he could really take off as a Class of 2029 prospect.

Admittedly, we started to really buy stock in Taylor over the summer while watching him play with [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] 15u on the UA Rise Circuit so he isn't necessarily a new name to us. However, he is still very much still emerging on a statewide basis. The 6'1" guard is such a pure, smooth scorer. He is a very good jump shooter, talented enough with the ball in his hands to create his own shot, and has impressive length and athleticism. There is a lot of upside to his game and we believe the Andrean High School sophomore is just scratching the surface.

One of two Fort Wayne Snider big men that really stood out at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase, Vance continues to improve each time we see him play. Between watching him with LVL Up 15u late in the summer, with Snider in June, and now again at our showcase we've had several recent viewings of the young big man. The 6'7" center is very strong around the basket and scored via physical post moves on Sunday. His ability to rebound and defend in the post helps to get him on the court as a two-way producer as well. There is definitely upside to continue to track as Vance gets older.
