Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp | Team 8 Evals

There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Here are the prospect evaluations for Team 8 from the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.   ***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. If your team's evaluation article gets posted and you were NOT included please connect with Brandon Ramsey on Twitter or via email at coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com and he will take care of the mistake.***    South Bend Adams 2029 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2906223' first='Ashton' last='Northern'] caught my attention early on in the 5v5 portion of the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Explosive first step that at times made the game look easy on the offensive end with the way he was able to get downhill. Crafty finisher around the basket, but also takes what the defense gives him and is a talented playmaker for others.     Martinsville Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3764723' first='Gavin' last='Hacker'] showed off his nice shooting ability in both the 3v3 and 5v5 portion of the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. High energy 5'9” guard that was constantly moving on the offensive end of the floor. Excellent cutter that understands how to get open and be shot ready on the catch where he was deadly. Also showed a craftiness in his game when getting into the lane. Soft touch on some tough floater attempts he was able to get to fall.     2029 Guard out of Brownstown Central that made plays in a variety of different ways on the offensive end of the floor at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. [player_tooltip player_id='2472569' first='Camdyn' last='Nierman'] spaced the floor as a shooter off the ball while also showing his ability to make plays off the dribble while making the right reads. Plays with an extremely high motor that didn't force the issue.     [player_tooltip player_id='3572161' first='Beckham' last='Biddle'] out of Zionsville is a high motor guard that won't wow you with speed and athleticism, but plays the game the right way. Solid handle that initiates offense and pushes the tempo in transition. Showed he is a willing defender that communicates well and is always in the right place at the right time.     Another confident guard for Team 8 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. [player_tooltip player_id='3647549' first='Knox' last='Madsen'] of Plainfield is a shifty lead guard that was relentless getting downhill and was able to get to his spot on a consistent basis. He was really good in transition. Tempo pushing guard that is unselfish and looks for to throw it ahead for easy layups.     The Top 25 prospect in the Indiana in-state class of 2029 put on an absolute show in front of me at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Physical 6'1” guard was so good on both ends of the floor. He's a longer guard that is capable of defending multiple positions due to his length and physical frame. Offensive he was able to knock a few perimeter shots down but is best off the dribble getting to the basket.     2029 Prospect out of the state of Kentucky that impacted the game on both ends of the floor. Carson Lambert is a long and athletic prospect that rebounded it well on both ends and showed potential as a rim protector. Offensively he is a bit raw, but plays extremely hard and was able to get putbacks off the offensive glass.     6'1” Guard out of Providence that played with an extremely high motor and was one of the better rebounding guards that I got the chance to see at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. [player_tooltip player_id='3574315' first='Parker' last='Zell'] was all over the floor making plays on both ends. Love his communication and defensive versatility. Rebounded at a high level on the offensive glass and was able to finish through contact well.     2029 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3073845' first='Camden' last='Brooks'] out of Woodlan was excellent in the games I got to see of his at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Physical guard that was able to get to his spots, play on balance and absorb contact while finishing around the basket was what impressed me the most about the 6'1” guard. Played with a high motor and was active on the defensive end with deflections and rebounding.     High scoring Scecina Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2950496' first='Conner' last='Weaver'] was one of the more complete players that I got to see at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. High IQ guard did a good job of balancing scoring and facilitating. Lead guard with supreme confidence in his skills and Is a threat every time he touches the ball. Big time shooter with deep range that was able to get going early and often at camp.
