He was a major threat in transition as he has the speed to fly by defenders in the open floor, and seemed to time his passes to perfection to hit a cutting teammate in-stride to the rim. Really good facilitator who could set his teammates up out of the pick & roll or with drive-and-kick passes to his shooters. Defensively he had really good positioning off of the ball which helped him pick off a couple of passes and get his team out in transition. Dax never seemed to run out of energy as he was constantly pressuring opposing guards and sprinting in transition.

Andrew was another ball handling option who spent time playing both guard spots throughout the game. He wasn't able to get his shot going in the game I watched, but he did a nice job of moving without the ball to open up pockets of space to catch-and-shoot out on the perimeter. Unselfish guard who works hard on both ends of the floor and never let the ball stick in his hands offensively.

Connor was looking to apply ball pressure early and often in game one. The Maple Grove freshman was constantly picking up full-court, moving his feet well against opposing point guards while out on an island. That ball pressure led to a handful of mistakes from opposing guards that his team was able to capitalize on in transition. Offensively he was one of the main ball handling options for his team who did a nice job of getting his teammates the ball in positions to score.

Luke made an instant impact in game one. Right off of the opening tip he located a cutting teammate to rack up a quick assist, and a minute or two later he was beating his defender to the rim with an off-ball cut for an easy two points of his own. Throughout the game his cuts without the ball were causing issues for the defense as they lacked help-side protection when Luke was able to beat his man to the basket. When Luke caught anywhere near the basket, two points were likely going on the board as he's such an efficient finisher. Just a hard working forward who doesn't need to dribble the ball to contribute.

This team was loaded with size, with Benjamin providing another interior presence on both ends of the floor. Because of his ability to control the glass and man the paint on his own, it freed up his longer teammates to pop out to the wings and make plays out on the perimeter. Morin did a nice job of finding a body to box out after a shot went up, using his frame to help his team dominate on the glass. Showed a bit of skill at 6'2 by catching in the corner and then beating his man with a spin move to finish at the rim.

It didn't take long for Lukas to get going in his opening game as he scored off of the opening tip. The Cambridge-Isanti program should be excited about him coming up as he's a 6'3 slasher who excelled at getting to the rim and finishing in the game I watched. It didn't matter if he was beating smaller players off the dribble, cutting without the ball, or sprinting ahead in transition, Lukas found ways to get to the basket for high percentage looks. Showcased a nice spin move into a right handed finish in the second half. Gritty defender who wasn't afraid to get on the floor for a loose ball either.

I already mentioned Henry in my "top performers" article, so I don't need to go too deep into detail here, but he's a very intriguing long-term prospect. You don't find a lot of guys with his length and fluid athleticism, particularly at a young age. Things just looked effortless at times as he showed a smooth jumper from three, above-the-rim athleticism in the open floor, and the work-rate to dominate on the glass. One of the best current players and long-term prospects I saw on Sunday.
