We updated the 2030 Watch List and added over 100 players to the list. We elected to not go with a rankings, as it is so early in their high school careers and NONE have even played a real high school game yet. But that doesn't mean that we haven't seen them play. Here we take a look at players who we could argue that they should be in the Top-10 if we had dropped the rankings.

Dvonte's ability to impact each play is a reason that I feel he would be able to adapt and make a varsity push. He's physical and explosive and if he can key in on defense and be a disruptor it would be difficult to keep him off the floor. We've saw Dvonte over the Summer as well as at our showcase and we liked his defensive tools. He has long arms, he times plays for steals and deflections, speeds guards up and can defend multiple positions. He also gets out in transition and finishes, can knock down 3s as they get kicked out to him and plays well off-ball. His versatility will be his biggest weapon. We'll certainly see more of him and if he comes in and tries to star in his role, he could be a player who could swing. This will be a year of growth for him but a player that I feel could be in the Top-10 by the end of the year.

Tarpenning is 6'4 and still growing and his size was overwhelming for teams all Summer. They got out to our events and he was a difference-maker. He puts his hands up and players have a tough time scoring over him. He moves well, he finishes through contact and keeps the ball high to where others can't get to it. I liked his scoring from the mid post and a few back to the basket plays as that's where he will have to grow, but it should be what opens up everything for him. As he gets bigger and stronger, being a mobile big with tough and the ability to extend the defense and set hard screens and roll to the rim will allow him to take over. He'll follow in his brothers footsteps over at Discovery Canyon and I believe he will surely be in the mix by the end of the year. But surely will continue to elevate.

Taylor played spot minutes on varsity for Rangeview this Summer and that is enough for me to know that he can go. I then saw him at the Freshman showcase and I am intrigued by the way that he controls the game with the ball in his hands. He's a comfortable ballhandler who plays at his own pace, probes the offense and looks for cutters and open guys and can make entry passes without turning it over. He doesnt worry about defenders playing time, he can break defenders down off the dribble and finishes well inside. Guards were having a difficult time slowing him down and he's a solid downhill attacker. He puts pressure on the defense while also occasionally going to get his own and I just know that by the end of the year he's going to be even better at all of these things with a year of learning Rangeview's system. He's a name to know and one I would put in the Top 15 right now with room to push for the Top-10.

Kamrin right now is this classes best athlete and with that athleticism, the game seems to come a bit easier for him. We saw him at the showcase be able to get out in transition and finish for dunks and easy finishes and also be able to use a quick first step for blow by baskets as well. He's an explosive athlete that excels with the ball in his hands but also can be used as a slasher as well. I believe he will be used as a cutter who opens up the floor and if he develops a reliable knockdown 3-pointer he's going to be extremely difficult to contain. He also has the tools to be a special defender as well as he has a long wing span, moves well laterally and can grab a board and get the break started. Kamrin also has been playing some varsity with Overland in Fall league and we're seeing him start to adjust to the varsity game speed and pick where he can make his mark. I am excited to see how his game evolves but he's surely a guy who will be in the mix as a top guy in this class for the next 4 years. He's a top 15 guy.

Lirtzman is a player who I feel has a game that translates almost as much as any player in his class and that's saying something for a guard who hasn't played varsity quite yet. He's skilled, makes so many IQ plays and always seems to be looking at what he can bring to the next play. His game is balanced and I like how he reads the court. Scotty can play both on and off ball but with the ball is decisive. He uses the pick and attacks, finds the open man, makes the extra pass and also is able to create for himself off the dribble. We also saw him play off ball as well at the showcase and he's a reliable shooter with range. He hit a few 3's in the row, got inside and hit defenders with creative finishes and got out and made plays in the open floor as well. I like how he can adapt in a fast-paced game but also can get good looks in the half court set with how he's understanding the game. He's a player who would easily be in the Top-15 and a strong argument for the Top-10. Solid prospect.

Bernard is a prospect who I am extremely high on based on what I saw from him at the showcase. He jumped onto my radar with his offensive firepower. He lit it up as a balanced scorer, who was assertive, he attacked whoever was in front of him, forced mismatches and used his size at times as well. Bernard can open up the floor with his ability to shoot the 3-ball, but also he knows how to finish inside as well. I liked his feel and how he kept the ball moving when he didn't have it, he showed that he could move without the ball and when he gets it he goes. He's a natural scorer who continued to make plays and I want to see if that was just a good day or if this is what we can expect from him. He's a player I am curious about but I would certainly put him in the Top-20 with what I saw from him for room to grow. High expectations for him this year.
