At 6’4, Tarpenning brings a physical interior presence that’s tough to deal with at this level, and opposing teams saw that. His size already separated himself but he was able to score effectively from the high post and finish through traffic on the block as well. He used his length to create advantages. He set solid screens and rebounded with purpose, which led to extra scoring opportunities for his team and also finishes at the basket for himself. As he continues to embrace physicality and assert himself consistently, his impact inside will only continue to grow, but he’s a player who we are certain will be a riser and name to know soon. Those Tarpenning boys have such a ceiling and I was shocked to see that it was another one.
