This is where you start to separate what actually translates. At the 14U level, it's not just about numbers, but it's about traits, feel, and how a player impacts the game over time. This group showed enough in those areas to stand out. These are not players that we knew too much about heading into Rocky Mountain Mayhem, but they proved that they belong. Here are 6 standouts who stole the show!

Greyson was a player who got my attention throughout the weekend as he looked like one of the more complete players on the floor. He's going to be quite a player and will be on many radars soon. He produced across multiple games with a calm, controlled approach. He scored efficiently, got to his spots, and finished around the rim. He runs the break and plays with a pace that makes the game slow down for him, and is a versatile scorer whose overall feel and production stand out early on. In one game that I watched, he finished with 19 points against tough defense, knocked down the 3-ball, and made smart reads. I certainly want to see more of him as he fills it up in various ways. He's next up!

Palomino is a high-upside forward with size and versatility, and is a player who truly affected the game in each outing that we saw him for Tru Colorado North. He controlled the paint, stepped out on the perimeter, and moved his feet and defended multiple positions, which is rare at this level. He also got some big rebounds outside his area and finishes with touch around the basket, and that extended to the mid-range area where he looked comfortable as well. Palomino's blend of size, mobility, and feel gives him long-term impact potential, and he's going to be a very solid prospect when it all comes together. I am high on him and want to see his rise.

Paligo is a 6'6 big with clear upside for [program_tooltip program_id='3564524' first='Team' last='Excellence'], and that pops off the page when you first see him. Paligo shows a strong feel for how to operate within his role and understands who he is as a player. Throughout the weekend, he looked very comfortable on the block and at the high post. He reads the floor before making his move, and they used him to operate the offense on DHO's as well as just a face game from higher. He's dangerous in the half-court set because he sets strong screens, rebounds, and communicates where guys are supposed to be on both ends of the floor. His size and patience already translate, and as his confidence grows, his ceiling continues to rise. Big weekend for him.

Anderson is a player who was a very creative shot-maker throughout the weekend for Tru Colorado North, and that stood out as he showed the ability to generate offense on his own terms. He looked comfortable getting to step-backs with balance and clean footwork. He creates space and knocks down tough looks. I like that he plays with feel, provides spacing and stayed ready off the ball. He scored in bunches throughout the weekend and shows early signs of a guard whose game translates. I am curious to see how his game improves but he's a player to watch who jumped on our radar.

At 6'4, Tarpenning brings a physical interior presence that's tough to deal with at this level, and opposing teams saw that. His size already separated himself but he was able to score effectively from the high post and finish through traffic on the block as well. He used his length to create advantages. He set solid screens and rebounded with purpose, which led to extra scoring opportunities for his team and also finishes at the basket for himself. As he continues to embrace physicality and assert himself consistently, his impact inside will only continue to grow, but he's a player who we are certain will be a riser and name to know soon. Those Tarpenning boys have such a ceiling and I was shocked to see that it was another one.

Cody had a weekend worth keeping an eye on [program_tooltip program_id='3564524' first='Team' last='Excellence'] 14U Blue, as he has a very mature and complete game. He has good size, he's versatile as he gets inside with ease and to his spots. When defenders sagged, he knocked down the 3-ball as well. Defensively, he contested shots, he grabbed boards, and pushed the pace when he got the ball on the break. I liked how he attacked and got to the FT line to make sure defenses felt how he could take over. He's a solid all-around player worth knocking, and he's a name to know. Very curious about him
