Expert Analysis

Bobby Lopez

Prep Hoops Scout

Franchi stood out as a guard who brought an edge and urgency to every defensive possession this summer. He was constantly involved using quick reactions and anticipation to make things uncomfortable for opposing offenses. Once he got a hand on the ball he was immediately looking to attack in the other direction and take advantage of unsettled defenses. His ability to create an impact without being a primary offensive option is a big part of what makes him intriguing. Franchi plays with a motor that doesn’t let up and if his offensive tools continue to come along, he has the potential to become a much more complete two way prospect

Prep Hoops Scout

Franchi made his presence felt with his relentless defensive effort and high energy. He consistently pressured opposing ball handlers, forcing difficult possessions while using his instincts to jump passing lanes and generate steals. Once he created turnovers, Franchi quickly turned defense into offense by pushing the ball in transition and finishing on the other end. His aggressive approach set the tone early and his ability to impact the game without needing the ball in his hands made him one of the more disruptive defenders during the event.
