Hicks was one of those prospects I didn’t know coming in, but it didn’t take long for him to get my attention. He competed hard, fit naturally into different lineups and never seemed sped up. He actually controlled and pushed the pace himself and hit some big mid-range shots and even pushed it out to the 3-pointer as well. His footwork around defenders was impressive but his confidence also stood out for me. He found ways to score, especially on creative and contested finishes. Hicks owned the high post and worked his way in, and also made a couple of plays defensively as well. He made a name for himself at the event and was a name I surely want to follow. He’s a name I think pops this year.
