2026 The Expo: Oregon Preview
In this article:
Registration has been completed and the roster is set for the 2026 PrepHoops Oregon Expo, which will take place on Saturday, September 4 at the Beaverton YMCA. As always, the talent level in the gym will be high and college coaches from the NCAA D-II, NCAA D-III, NAIA, and junior college ranks will be on hand to watch the action and others will be able to catch it live streaming on Baller TV. Here's a quick look at some of the general things to watch out for.
Top Talent Will Be In the House
While there were some conflicts such as family trips planned for Labor Day Weekend and even the Oregon/Oregon State football game that prevented some players from attending, there are still several top-ranked players who signed up to participate. Leading the way are guys from the most recent Top Ten in both the junior and senior classes starting with

Solid Size on the Court
As usual, the majority of the players on the floor will be guards. However compared to previous years, there are actually quite a few bigger players in attendance with at least seven players measuring 6-foot-8 or taller. The tallest is 6-foot-11

It's a Team Game
Several high schools will be sending multiple players to The Courts on Saturday and leading the way is Sheldon, as six Irish players will make the drive up from Eugene. La Salle and Roosevelt will each have five players off their rosters in attendance while Beaverton, Bend, Gresham, and Willamette will each have four players each in the event.
Small School Representation
More than ever the players from the "mid-major" level - 1A through 4A - will be in attendance at the Expo. The very elite players at those levels will be represented as well as 10 of them earned some kind of All-State honors in 2025-26. This includes First Team 4A All-State honorees

Road Tripping From Afar
As expected, the rosters at the Expo are filled with Portland Metro-area players with a handful coming up from Salem, but others have chosen to take the road trip to join in the fun in Beaverton. Players from all parts of the state will be in attendance - Central Oregon will be well represented with players from Bend and Redmond, Eugene will have standouts from schools such as North Eugene, Sheldon, and Thurston, and Southern Oregon will bring players from schools such as Crater and North Medford up I-5. Eastern Oregon will even have a presence as Tyler Abbott Tyler Abbott 6'2" | CG La Grande | 2027 OR comes in from La Grande.
There will be some out-of-state representation as well. Sawyer Fry (2027 Del Norte-Crescent City) is coming up from Northern California and Jayden Holloway (2027 Marina) will arrive in Beaverton all the way from Southern California.
The event starts at 11am on Saturday and all the action will conclude by 3 pm. Attendance is free for all spectators. PrepHoops Oregon will be providing full coverage of the event and will have plenty of write-up coverage in the days and weeks after it concludes.
