One of the top risers this summer has undoubtedly been Sanders, who showed in Wilsonville he doesn’t necessarily have to be scoring points to make an impact in games. In Grant’s win over West Linn, that aforementioned impact was on the boards and defensively, as he pulled down 11 rebounds and created havoc with his length and quickness with both steals and blocked shots. One of the most electric finishers in the state, the lefty got loose on the break for a highlight reel dunk. Sanders recently received his first D-I offer from Bethune-Cookman.
The Grant player we saw in Saturday’s night that may have elevated his game the most since this past season was Sanders. The rising junior was playing with a purpose as his aggressiveness and passion on the floor was off the charts on both ends. Sanders attacked the hoop in both the halfcourt and in transition, using his length and athleticism to finish above the rim and be a menace on the defensive end, both creating turnovers off the steal and blocking shots. It almost seemed like he was taking things personal as he channeled that energy into positive plays on the court. 24 points on the night.
The explosive lefty guard showed the ability to take over games late in the season. Active in transition, a variety of moves around the basket, & the length & instincts to disrupt on the defensive end of the floor. As his perimeter shooting becomes more consistent, the sky is the limit for Sanders.
Sanders is an athletic slasher who puts constant pressure on the defense. He attacks the rim aggressively and uses a nice step-through move to finish in traffic. Sanders does a great job spacing the floor and staying active within the offense, always moving to create opportunities. With his athleticism, he’s also a lob threat who plays above the rim, making him dangerous whenever he gets near the basket.
Sanders has fit right in with his new teammates at Grant and his length and athleticism have been hard for defenses to contain. The lefty can essentially slash to the basket at will and finish at the rim, but has been solid with his perimeter shooting as well.
Sanders transferred over from Grant and has fit right in with his former PIL rivals, entering the starting lineup right away and making an impact with his length and athleticism on both ends of the floor. He has shown the ability to put up some big offensive numbers by attacking the basket and finishing above the rim and his ranginess on the defensive end allows him to guard multiple positions.

is emerging as one of the top athletes in Oregon’s class of 2028, showing noticeable improvement every time we see him play. An explosive slasher, he consistently runs the lanes well in transition, plays above the rim, and creates high-quality looks at the basket. Sanders is also reliable at the free-throw line, going 5-for-7, and holds his own as a capable on-ball defender.
Sanders was very consistent with his play, showing the ability to knock down shots in rhythm and string together scoring runs. Jamarea excelled at attacking the rim and finishing through contact. He proved to be an underrated slasher who could get downhill to create opportunities for himself and his teammates. He also demonstrated the ability to finish with his right hand, making him one of the toughest players to guard at the event. (AG)
Super long and athletic, he threw down a rousing dunk and was easily one of the top athletic players in the event. Very aggressive and hard to defend, the 6-foot-3 Roosevelt sophomore showed he can knock down the 3 as well. Sanders also had some polished post moves and consistently battled for rebounds. (AG)
