I was able to attend the prestigious Section 7 event in Mesa, Arizona. I saw numerous games featuring loads of talent from both the regular and prep school divisions. Here are some of the standouts from the event:

[player_tooltip player_id='2386977' first='Kyle' last='Speed Jr']. Gilbert:

The high motor forward showcased his improved skill during the weekend. He is crashing the glass on every single shot attempt. He has a knack for the ball and action in general. He gets tons of baskets off second-chance points, has elite footwork to score out of the post, and can hit outside jumpers off the dribble. Defensively, he can guard 1-5, which allows him to switch everything. Kyle is an extremely valuable piece to any team and will continue to be a force.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136339' first='Adryan' last='Miller'] Gilbert:

The stretch four from Gilbert is a new out-of-state transfer. He made a huge impact on Gilbert during Section 7. He rebounds the ball well and works hard. Along with that, he is able to step out and hit the three-ball. Adryan is active around the rim, so he gets a lot of easy put-backs around the basket. Expect him to be a big part of Gilbert's success as the season goes on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2804109' first='Tai' last='Bell'] Christopher Columbus:

The lead guard from Columbus showed off his elite basketball IQ. The son of NBA PG Raja Bell was in full command of his team during their weekend at Section 7. He put his teammates in numerous scoring opportunities, racking up a ton of assists. He was able to get downhill with ease and finish around the rim. He can stop on a dime and shoot the 3-ball, too. He has an elite feel for the game and always makes the right read. Raja is continuing to dominate all summer long.

[player_tooltip player_id='3683446' first='Martin' last='Sibal'] Christopher Columbus:

The new 7-footer came out of the blue for Columbus. He was showcasing who he was to everyone who was watching. He has a soft touch around the rim, elite passing, and a smooth three-point shot. Along with all of that, on the offensive end, he has an elite handle that he uses to push the ball up in transition. Because of Martin's natural frame, he will rack up blocked shots on the defensive end. He was recently ranked 26th in 247's 2028 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353599' first='Akol' last='Nyok'] Christopher Columbus:

The tall shotblocker from Columbus made his presence known. Akol was a force on the defensive end. He uses his long wingspan to block shots and also change opponents' shots all the time. He runs the floor extremely hard and gets a lot of putbacks around the rim. He is always a lob threat. Akol will continue to have a great summer as he competes for [program_tooltip program_id='2863450' first='Tre' last='Mann Elite'].
