Bell starred with JET Academy during July in Las Vegas and at Nike’s Peach Jam. The rising junior is a highly skilled, high scoring guard who really knows how to play. Lumpkin’s teammate with JET Academy, Bell was outstanding in Las Vegas. When the defense collapsed on his penetration, he showed the ability to find open teammates and deliver passes with either hand. While his perimeter shooting was not as consistent this weekend, Bell could not be kept out of the lane and was able to finisher through contact and over length and athleticism.

Bell made the move to Columbus High School and has had an impressive month of June with the Explorers. He averaged over 20 points per game in his three games in Georgia and showed that he can be an effective scorer with or without the ball in his hands. Bell is adept at creating his own shot at the offensive end and he is an improving playmaker when the defense collapses on him.

Though often overshadowed by the sheer size of his team or the heavy workload, he remains the clear engine of the offense. He has the complete package — capable of getting whatever is needed, whether creating for himself off the dribble or setting up teammates with sharp off-ball movement, all backed by solid size. His versatility and basketball IQ make him a nightmare to game plan for.

Bell already plays with the pace and poise of an upperclassman. The talented guard rarely looks sped up, consistently making the right read while still finding ways to put pressure on defenses. With major Division I programs already involved, Bell has established himself as one of the top floor generals in the country for his class.

He understands how to use screens to his advantage, is adept at drawing contact on the offensive end, and consistently puts pressure on the defense. In the paint, Bell is a creative finisher, and he is especially efficient in the midrange, where he can score over defenders with confidence.

The 6’3″ rising sophomore is a true 3-level scorer and plays the game with great poise and control. Bell is great leader and acts as another coach each time he steps on the floor.
