Expert Analysis
Andrew Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Roberts has emerged as a spark plug guard who can break down defenders and create offense on the move. Whether it’s attacking the rim or dishing to bigs off the drive, he makes things happen. His ability to collapse defenses and stay aggressive has made him one of the more underrated guards in his class—and ECU is now in the mix.

On a guard oriented TME team, Roberts made an impact as a secondary creator who provided a spark when the ball was in his hands. Getting busy attacking the rim, Roberts made a couple shots and got to the paint when he wanted to. A couple quick drop off passes to their forwards got easy looks at the rim for a TME team that only had six players tonight and still found a way to get a comfortable victory. Defensively, Roberts did a nice job of knowing when to gamble in their zone defense and forced a handful of turnovers with his activity, one that led into a breakaway slam dunk for himself. Recently picking up an offer from Louisiana, Roberts looks like at least a mid-major target heading into the live period.

is that do it all guard you just want running your team and setting the stage for everyone. The 6’1” guard is sneaky athletic and plays with a speed all his own. He’s third in assists and fifth in steals on the Rebels squad this circuit so far. As a one-man fast break, Roberts did most of his damage attacking the rim in Indiana. His shot mechanics are compact, and he has a high release point. Even though he has not connected on a three-pointer yet, a good deal of his attempts are clean looks at the basket. With more reps and confidence building, Roberts can add another level to his game.

. Another guard who shot a high percentage from deep last year. Roberts is a great relocator off the ball. He does an excellent job in reading his defender and locating into space. A great spot up shooter, Roberts can also attack the paint and confidently finish with either hand.

is a twitchy guard with a ton of upside. He’s quick with a dangerous stop start game that allows him to shift his defender. The 2026 guard is an explosive leaper who finishes with touch and explodes for dunks. He gets downhill and draws fouls.
