Aaron’s S7 Top Performers by Positions: Wings

With June ball in full effect and Section 7 Qualifiers behind us we arrive at the main event of the summer Section 7. Section 7 give teams a great chance to prove they are one off the best programs in the state and in the nation.   Players get to finally show college coaches and scouts the work they have put in since the season ended. Some players have taken on bigger roles or have transferred to new schools for new opportunities.   I will have 5 articles containing players from each category of Point Guards, Combo Guards, Wings, Forwards and Centers making up for 30 players that impressed me the most. Only the players that I was able to view will be mentioned. On the offensive end he puts extreme pressure on the rim. He gets down hill with ease and with his next level explosiveness. He has a nice handle and strong frame and will bump defenders off in the paint. He isn't afraid of physicality and will bully smaller defenders. When he is on the break he becomes a major lob threat and will slam it on defenders. He is a very versatile defender and can guard every position on the floor. Lleyton is looking to lead Basha deep in the open division.     Zen is the pound for pound best defender in the state of Arizona. He continues prove his defensive capabilities at every major event he has played in this June. He can guard the one through four and disrupt multiple types off offensive players. He can also get it done on the offensive end. He players well off the ball and will score off cuts and putbacks. He is a capable three point shooter and can hit it off the catch. Zen has a great frame and a even better work ethic. I expect him to gain more recognition as the year goes on.     Jeremiah is a long and skilled wing that will turn heads this year. He may be a new comer to some as he had to sit out all of last year. He is a very capable scorer and will always find a way to get buckets. He can score from all three levels especially in the midrange where he hit multiple tough shots in the face of defenders. He is a very capable three point shooter and could extend his range a bit off the line. With his length and athletic ability he is tough to stop at he rim. Expect him to have a breakout year with a revamped Centennial squad.     Remy steps into a knew role for Carl Hayden becoming a legit go to scorer. The big guard plays a point forward position for his team and can play on and off ball. He scores well at the rim by cuts or one on one moves to to bucket. He will bump off his defenders with his strong frame and finish high at the rim. He has a smooth handle and can take control and run the offense if needed. His has a nice looking shot from the outside and will hit open shots. Remy will lead a young Carl Hayden core to another successful season.     Daijon is a hyper athletic guard that punishes the rim every chance he gets. He might be one of the most athletic players I seen in the whole event. He gets to the rim anytime he wants with his elite handle and next level quickness. He will try to dunk it down the lane or finish with acrobatic finesse finishes. He likes to get to his spots in the midrange area where he rises up over defenders. He hit multiple tough shots down the stretch showing off his clutch ability. Daijon looks to lead Mesa this year as the new number 1     Ace impressed me with his work ethic and ability give energy to his team when needed. He came in the game and completely changed the outcome. He was able to grab rebounds on both ends off the floor and gave his team multiple second chances points for his squad. He was able to get to the rim off the catch and score well in the paint. He uses his athletic ability to disrupt ball handlers and passing lanes. Ace is a impact player that can make a difference on both sides of the ball.
