There are plenty of ways to impact winning during the June scholastic period, but few are more valuable than consistently knocking down shots. At this year's Sizzlin' Summer Shootout in Greenville, several prospects separated themselves by stretching defenses with their perimeter shooting, making timely jumpers, and providing reliable scoring throughout the weekend. Here's a look at the shooters who caught my attention and helped swing games with their ability to make shots from beyond the arc:

First up on my list of shooters from the Sizzlin' Summer Shootout is [player_tooltip player_id='3042143' first='Samuel' last='Ross']. Pendleton's All-State guard had an excellent start to day two, knocking down a three on the first possession of the game and hitting three more before sitting out most of the second half. Ross is an excellent spot-up option offensively, but he's also as scrappy as they come defensively. The Bulldogs were in a zone almost the entire game, but Samuel helped chip in on the glass and got on the floor for a couple of loose balls.

Grayden didn't have the fast start like Samuel, but he came alive in the second half to help carry Chapman to an impressive win over River Bluff. All 6 of his made threes came over the last 16 minutes, and he had a variety of looks between designed actions, in transition, off the catch, and off the dribble. Despite being under 6'0", Humphries has been one of the best shooters in the state over the last few seasons and has no trouble facing bigger defenders.

This next shooter quickly emerged last season with a couple of big games for the Tigers, but he's now consistently putting up multi-three games in various situations. Hoover was excellent all weekend long, but knocked down 6 threes in a Friday game that I watched, with all of them coming off the catch. They became increasingly more contested, which allowed him to show his activity as a cutter to the rim, around the perimeter, and on the offensive glass.

There aren't many more confident shooters or scorers in the state than Sims. He's always been a guy who can get hot quickly, but in two of the past three times I've checked in with him, he's been an efficient high-volume scorer. Kobe had 23 points on 5 3PM in a matchup with West Ashley on Saturday, hitting shots over bigger defenders, off offensive rebounds, in transition, and off the dribble. If Sims keeps up this type of shot-making heading into July, it wouldn't be a surprise to see [program_tooltip program_id='2413030' first='Middleton' last='Hoops Elite'] playing meaningful basketball in Augusta, and the college coaches come knocking for Kobe.

Staying in the CSRA, [player_tooltip player_id='2691559' first='Treivan' last='Wright'] rounds out the list. He is the youngest shooter of the five, but he was just as hot from behind the arc as anyone I've seen all summer long. Wright and the Yellow Jackets matched up with the hosts, Greenville, in the game I watched, and he put up an impressive 9 threes. Treivan popped up all over the perimeter and was near automatic, no matter the look or situation. He also chipped in with a few assists and a mid-range jumper, but with the way he was shooting the three, North Augusta tried to get him as many shots as possible from the outside.
