Treivan is one of the best shooters in his class, as he proved with 3 made threes in a win over Hickory Ridge (NC), but he will have the responsibility of being more than just a spot-up shooter this year. He has a good handle and changes pace well to get downhill, so once he fully grasps the feel for making his teammates better, Wright will be one of the best guards in the state.

Wright has been on our radar for a while now, playing in SCISA with Augusta Christian and for in-state AAU Program Middleton Hoops Elite . However, now getting to see him with North Augusta for a full season, there is a much better feel for where he should be. Treivan was one of the most productive bench players in the state because he could not only come in and provide a spark with shooting, but he could also take over some playmaking responsibilities. Wright will have a much bigger role next year for the Yellow Jackets, but don’t expect any dip in team success because he is a proven winner.

Treivan had a monster game off the bench for MHE in the hard-fought win over Meanstreets, racking up 26 points. He is very confident and a knockdown jumper shooter who made seven threes. Wright proved that he can shoot off the catch, with one or two dribbles, and even pulling up. Treivan has a strong, compact frame that allows him to handle and finish through contact. On defense, he was active at the top of a 2-3 zone, deflecting passes and back-tapping ball-handlers.

Wright first played at the varsity level last season as an eighth grader. When watching how he led his Curtis Baptist squad to victory against Holly Hill Academy, one can see why. An often used cliché in sports circles, but he had the Wright stuff to the tune of 24 points which led the Crusaders to an 81-59 triumph over the Raiders. His versatility enables him to give a team productive minutes at a variety of spots on the court – including at the one, two, three and wing. A good bit of the plays he made on Tuesday involved attacking the basket and finishing strong at the cup.
