Another local prospect who I’ve become a big fan of recently is Kelly. Hatch has put together a good run of performances between SCBCA Live and The Citadel Team Camp. His athleticism is on display almost every time you watch him, whether he’s finishing at the rim, blocking shots, or controlling the glass. He has a good foundation to be effective inside the arc with post moves, mid-range jumpers, and enough of a handle to attack the rim, so if he improves his perimeter production, he could be one of the best wings in South Carolina’s 2028 class.

Hatch was a solid piece for MHE in the first half of the season, chipping in with 5.3 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 1.9 stocks per game. Offensively, he looks to slash to the rim and will chip in with second-chance points, while defensively, he will always be active in the paint and in passing lanes.

Kelly really came out on fire today here in the 3 on 3 games to start the day. Hatch was able to finish with left-hand at the bucket on a handful situations here today. Kelly is a long and rangy young man already and still has plenty of growing to do it looks like. He plays active on both ends of the floor and was able to connect on a few short jumpers here today.
