Hopkins-McGlothen burst onto the scene as a true freshman last season and instantly became Benson's top player. A pure scorer at all three levels, he is just as effective off the ball as he is with the rock in his hands, and he's got a knack for delivering in the clutch. He already holds D-I scholarship offers from Portland and San Francisco.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132803' first='Richad' last='Hudson'] 6-1 PG 2027

The straw that stirs the Astros drink is Hudson, who brings the classic "dog" mentality to the table at the point. He is constantly on the attack on both ends of the floor as his motor and competitive is relentless. His strong body allows him to absorb all sorts of contact on drives and finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2286069' first='Dreison' last='Malu Niko'] 6-4 PG 2028

A unique blend of strength and skill, Niko has proven to be a matchup nightmare for opponents his entire high school career. The rising junior can score both inside and out, having recently shown that he can be a knockdown shooter off the catch from three. His court vision and ability to deliver the ball are critical to Benson's success as well.

Daylen McKelvey 6-5 SF 2027

One of the most slept on prospects in the Class of 2027 is McKelvey, who has gotten on people's radar thanks to some great games this spring in AAU ball. He's long, lanky, and athletic, capable of hitting mid-range jumpers or finishing strong at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2737304' first='Warren' last='Bott'] 6-3 SF 2028

A classic utility and glue guy for the Astros, Bott did whatever was needed from him last season. He's got the strong body to rebound and defend in the paint but also the soft touch on his shot to hit open jumpers.

One of the top prospects in the state, McLaughlin has now received nine D1 offers after picking up a few more this spring. He's a big time scorer with deep range, a great variety of moves off the bounce, and while he scored nearly 30 points a game last winter, he also dished out 4.3 assists a game, highlighting his dual-threat playmaking and scoring ability.

25-26 Stats: 4.3 pts 4.2 rebs 1.2 ast

At 6-foot-4, Vance has good size as a kid who can stretch the floor. He will contribute on the glass, get in good position defensively, and plays unselfishly on offense, making smart choices and showing a willingness to make extra passes to work for great shots.

One of the most unique prospects in the state, Finau has the skill at 6-foot-9 to score from each level, play out of the post, take guys off the bounce, and be a factor around the rim on both ends. He nearly averaged a double-double last winter (21.1 points, 9.6 rebounds) to go along with 2.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.
