Happy Rock Tournament – Fresh Faces

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The annual Happy Rock Tournament took place last weekend at Gladstone High School and we had the opportunity to drop by on Sunday to catch some of the action. The rising junior wing was able to show off his sweet shooting stroke from the perimeter, immediately draining a couple of catch-and-shoot threes in the first half in the Astros win over Putnam. Also sharp in the mid-range, Wentworth can also put the ball on the floor a little and he's also a solid rebounder for his position. Coming up from the JV team, the rising senior is a nice athlete that runs the floor, hits the boards, and can make plays and shots when needed. The young big man puts in blue collar work in the paint but runs the floor well and also capably hits mid-range jumpers. While he's a football player first there's no question he can be effective on the basketball floor as well from what we saw at the Happy Rock Tournament. He's extremely quick with the ball in his hands and can really get up the floor in transition - in fact the majority of his 14 points in Nelson's win over Benson was on the fast break. A tenacious on-the-ball defender, his quick hands nabbed a number of steals and he did a great job helping run the offense with 4 assists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
