Benson had a couple of their top guys out of the lineup which meant additional time for Wentworth - and he took full advantage. The rising junior wing was able to show off his sweet shooting stroke from the perimeter, immediately draining a couple of catch-and-shoot threes in the first half in the Astros win over Putnam. Also sharp in the mid-range, Wentworth can also put the ball on the floor a little and he's also a solid rebounder for his position. He finished with 13 points and 6 boards.

Barlow has a deep squad for this upcoming season and an indication of that is Wagner. Coming up from the JV team, the rising senior is a nice athlete that runs the floor, hits the boards, and can make plays and shots when needed. In Barlow's win over Mountain View, he was good with finishes in transition and had a nice shooting touch out to three-point range. 16 points and 8 rebounds.

We had seen Sheldon previously in club basketball but viewing him within the Sandy team concept confirmed our thoughts that he's one of the top incoming freshmen for 2026-27. The young big man puts in blue collar work in the paint but runs the floor well and also capably hits mid-range jumpers. A double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds in a win over David Douglas.

Nelson will need some inside presence this upcoming season and Blevins appears to be a guy that will help deliver the goods. While he's a football player first there's no question he can be effective on the basketball floor as well from what we saw at the Happy Rock Tournament. The lefty is physical in the paint, will attack the glass with ferocity, and doesn't back down from anyone defensively. 17 points and 9 rebounds in the Hawks easy win over Benson.

This was our second time seeing Sideris - the first time being at the Rose City Showcase - and it was our second time realizing the combo guard will be one of the top incoming freshmen for next season. He's extremely quick with the ball in his hands and can really get up the floor in transition - in fact the majority of his 14 points in Nelson's win over Benson was on the fast break. A tenacious on-the-ball defender, his quick hands nabbed a number of steals and he did a great job helping run the offense with 4 assists.
